Sakanade had been thrilled when her wielder had announced a trip to the living realm. She’d grown used to the ins and outs of living among the humans during the century of exile, and she’d come to like it. She was looking forward to helping Shinji search for the elusive Miles Davis record, and she had chosen her best outfit, and her favorite hairpin. Needless to say, the little spirit was disappointed to find that she was being pawned off on a sitter. 

She’d frowned and pouted fiercely, but Shinji had stood firm and assured her that she’d have her own fun. According to him, she would adore Orihime, and he was completely confident. He hadn’t been wrong before. Tucking russet strands behind a small ear, she lifted a delicate hand to knock on her new babysitter’s door.
