Originally I wanted him to be born in District 12, but I thought I'd increase the tension by adding my own twist to this bad ending au. Coriolanus successfully took Lucy Gray back to the Capitol, married her and impregnated her in a matter of months—tying her down.

Nine months after their marriage, Commodus Oriole is born, he was, however, premature by two months because of Lucy Gray's malnourishment. He was usually taken care of by nannies but Lucy Gray attempted to take care of him as a way to spite Coriolanus; teaching her son how to play the guitar, how to emphasize with the districts, and how he could navigate his life by seeing the good in everyone. This was challenged by Coriolanus, of course.

(As you can see he looks just like his mama, no blonde hair/blue eyes here! But he definitely has Coriolanus's features.)
