absolutely yes BC THERES A 99% CHANCE THAT I DONT KNOW THAT CANON CHARACTER AND ID LIKE TO BE AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL SIMILARITIES AT LEAST SO THAT I CAN THEN WORK TOWARDS EDITING MY OC TO BE DIFFERENT AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME THEY REMIND THEM OF SOMETHING EVER AGAIN i mean it depends really but i think i generally secretly take offense to the mere idea my oc is similar to ANY EXISTING THING probably bc it reminds me there is nothing i can do to make purely original things and i get frustrated but that's really just a me problem but definitely i would like to have the KNOWLEDGE that my thing reminded sb of other thing thats somehow very very important to me
