“I can’t believe we’re… married. It felt impossible to me. It’s going to take some time to get used to it.”

John whispers in Pocahontas’ ear as he holds her tightly from behind, his strong arms wrapped around her chest. If she felt safe in his embrace before, now she feels even more so, sensing the warmth of his body and his breath on her skin.

“So do I.”

Pocahontas keeps her hands on his arms, feeling the chest that envelops her.

“Even with everything working against us... we made it through, together. You’re such a brave woman. I love you.”

Then, he starts kissing her shoulders softly, moving up to the nape of her neck. It tickles a little, and she laughs lightly, making John smile between the kisses.

“I love you more. It’s a dream to be married to you.”

“I know, you’ve told me that so many times…”

He teases.

"And I’ll keep saying it, John. Now you’re here with me, and we won’t be apart.”

“Never again.”

She turns to face the calm, happy gaze of her husband, daring to kiss him intensely. His hands trace her arms and back, from her neck to her waist, while she tries to run hers along his broad, strong back, giving in to the desire to touch every inch of her beloved's athletic body.
