My head canon for Mechanical Chips [Solar x Eclipse]
1.) Solar would be the top and Eclipse bottom. (Take this context however you may)
2.) Solar spoils/rewards Eclipse when Eclipse is good for and certain amount of days.
3.) Solar was the one who actively engaged in the relationship starting.
4.) Eclipse has and sweet tooth while Solar is more of and bitter type of guy when it comes the foods and drinks.
5.) Eclipse steals and hides Solars favorite coffee mugs and blames Lunar or Sun just ✨️BECAUSE✨️.
6.) Eclipse and Solar argue over petty things such as what color is better and who's smarter.

I've been calling this ship "Total Eclipse" for two months tbh, but recently Eclipse² has stuck with me more thanks to Momoko hehe
I LOVE THEM, THEY ARE MY EVERYTHING. Two Eclipses fighting for power in the same place, always maintaining a constant fight about "who is better", "who is stronger", "who is more useful", etc. They simply can't do anything without turning it into a competition, but that's how they show their love and affection for each other, because between those little fights they laugh, they have fun, they end up happier than they themselves expected.
(Again, it's two cats fighting and then loving each other and sleeping together XD)
Together they are an unstoppable force, they both have the same level of intelligence, they can build incredible things if given the opportunity. Just as they can also be calm for a second and then destroy half a pizzaplex with a machine that went wrong HAHA
I can see the relationship as a type of power couple, both are strong, intelligent, and although Solar is clearly better than Eclipse in multiple things, Eclipse is all the ferocity that Solar lacks. If they were villains, no one could stop them.
