some cats do prefer to be alone but mostly they enjoy having another cat around even if sometimes they're very particular about that other cat we had one of our fosters adopted by a lady looking for a very specific kind of cat her resident cat was a good sized girl cat who didnt get along with other female cats and only liked male cats bigger than her givem her size that was a tough thing to accomplish but we had the perfect foster cat at the time who had just been returned to the rescue he was large and chill and sweet and most definitely not female the lady fell in love with him with his flaws and all (he was a bread thief so food could not be left where he could rip into it) that was three years ago micah and his cranky sister are still happy together
