♡ reblog ♡ i sort by a combination of a couple of the above for practicality reasons mostly my bookshelves are not terribly stable and are different heights so hard covers go on the lower shelves in case the shelf falls tall books go on whatever shelf they fit on pretty much all my books are fiction and most are fantasy so i mostly just settled on keeping series and books by one author together and left it there I did kind of try and sort them by what sort of fiction they were but it became too much of a hassle so in short my system is sort by height and hardback/paper back first then ensure series are kept together
