Two very different trends in fanfic I have seen explode in the last year that are driving me nuts:

The word idemic. Or however it's spelled. It was cool the first time but god damn it's in everything now and I would eat my left littlest toe for people to describe a steady rhythm/beat with any kind of style again, ugh!

Fingering anyone before anal sex, specifically the one, two, three thing. Stop iiiit. That's halfway to fisting and people don't do that. You don't need to "prep" someone before letting them take it up the bum. If anal fingering is your jam, yeah okay that's fine, but it's really obvious all of these scenes are written by people who've never done anal and are copy/pasting this shit almost word for word from other fics they've read. Talk to some gay guys damn!
