When you saw the sold sign being slapped across your neighbors for sale sign you couldn’t help but be excited about the prospects of a new neighbor. One, you wouldn’t be the newest addition to the neighborhood and thus always referred to as ‘the new kid’ anymore. Second, you couldn’t help but hope for an attractive, single neighbor that you could have a steamy romance with. Hell, you’d be down for being a third or fourth in a relationship if they were into that. So when you saw the moving vans start to pull up, you were excited.

The movers showed up first, well ahead of any signs of who may have bought the house. You were lounging on the outdoor ottoman on your porch, indulging in your guilty pleasure breakfast of peaches and cottage cheese. A car pulled up and you almost chocked in excitement, suddenly glad that you decided to do some light makeup and get dressed so early when you’d heard the vans. You counted the seconds it took for the driver’s door to open. No one appeared to me sitting in any other seat of the silver sedan.
