An update with progress pictures! ✨

So far, a wonderful experience! My data may be skewed because I’m also spinning from the fold for the first time, but this is my most consistent spin to date and I’m pleased as peaches with how it’s looking so far!! I have a big batch of combed top fiber and right now I’m honestly planning to steam the lot of it.

I did a quick warm up spin with un-steamed merino too before diving into the neon fluff, and I found it to be noticeably… stickier? Just sort of clumpier to draft from. (Also spun from the fold.)

A wooden spinning wheel bobbin, mostly full with handspun neon yarn in orange, yellow, and pink.

big huge thank you to @comfortabletextiles for this post about steaming roving! I now have a big fluffy heap of neon Rambouillet ready to go. ⍝ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ⍝
