I don’t think this... follows the prompt exactly, but! It was the first headcanon I thought of:

So, back when Mandarin was leader, Otto made himself a secret snack stash. Otto knows every inch of the Super Robot by heart, so it was easy for him to find a compartment that would not need to be used by the others. It was about the size of an average walk-in closet, not super spacious but enough for him to relax and get cozy while he scarfed down from overly sugary snacks in peace. In the time that lead up to Mandarin’s betrayal, when tensions were at their highest, it was the only place Otto felt like he could breathe.

Fast forward, Chiro’s awakened the monkeys, and Otto takes it upon himself as the best one to show him around the Robot. Strangers at the time, Otto thought that showing Chiro his secret snack stash in the middle of the grand tour would be the perfect way to bond and establish trust with the new leader.

As Otto lead the way, he was so giddy! Stimming up a storm and excitedly boasting about how this was his favorite little getaway. When they reached it, however, his ecstatic energy drained as it clicked just how long he and the monkeys have been asleep. The room was caked in dust an inch thick, and each snack was rendered inedible. Rock solid, practically fossilized sweets, left to waste in the green monkey’s absence. Otto tried to pick up an old packaged cupcake and felt his heart sink as it turned to dust in his fingers, as though he just watched all of his joyous memories with this room crumble with it.

Chiro could feel the monkey’s heartbreak, especially after hearing all that love he had for this secret getaway. He put a comforting hand on Otto’s shoulder, and reassured him that the two of them can work together and restore this room to it’s memory. Chiro showed him all the new places for treats that opened up around the city while the monkeys were gone, and they managed to clean it out and looking nice and spiffy in no time! Even adding some pillows and blankets to chill out on during lazy days.

It’s now their own little hang out space for just the two of them! Otto’s very thankful to Chiro for preserving one of the few good things he had left from the old days, and loves having something that’s just his for him and Chiro to bond over.
