I like to think that Soundwave, in my au, had to get a job as like a babysitter before the war and other shit happened (dramatic canon events that happen to them, their world, and their friendship) and when Shockwave came over he didn’t know how to handle them while Soundwave was readying their energon so he had to call Starscream about this and Starscream kinda handled badly and kinda made one cry (theirs 2 of them) and Soundwave had to handle it all in the end. So ye, the only one responsible enough to handle children is Soundwave.
