He’s tired. “Let me just take one more photo,” Anne says. “Just of the Brady-Hays.” We line up again, just the six of us this time, me and Steven at the back with Declan in between us and Padraig and the kids in front. “Don’t take it until Brendan smiles,” says Steven. “Funny,” I say, and Anne takes the picture as I say it. “Oh well, you were talking,” she says, “So it kind of looks like you’re smiling. I won’t push my luck and ask for another.”  x
