I Accept.

Steve's little sister has been spending a noticeable amount of time with Bucky, which leads Steve to being the brother he is.

Steve Rogers &Reader- Siblings.

Steve looks intently at Bucky; spilling the question. “Do you like my sister?” Steve asks. “What?!” Bucky exclaims. “Do you like my sister?” Steve asks again. It’s a wonder how Bucky was able to ask his question; between tripping on his words and trying to sort out his fast, blurry thoughts, he asks. “Who’s your sister?” “_____.” Steve immediately responds. 

Bucky realizes why it seemed like he wasn’t talking to his best friend at the moment. He’s  talking to his crush’s brother. ‘He seems to know about it, so let’s just be honest, Bucky thinks.

“Yeah,” he says, rubbing his folded arm that’s resting on his bent knees. 

Steve nods, accepting the truth. 

“All I need from you- if you plan on acting on these feelings, don’t hurt her. Don’t do anything that can bring pain to her. I’m happy that you found someone, my sister nonetheless. But that also means I’m going to be at times her brother instead of your best friend.  Which also means that I may be a little tougher on you when it comes to making certain decisions that could involve her. I won’t be in your relationship but I will make sure you’re both taken care of.” he expresses. 

Bucky’s stunned. Not because his friend approves, he had a feeling that he would regardless but; surprised for accepting him again. And with someone very important to them both. 

Yes it’s their choice if they want to date, but he feels much happier knowing that his crush’s brother, his best friend,agrees.

Bucky turns to Steve and graces him in a big hug. Surprised by the sudden gesture, but hugs back nonetheless. 

Parting from the hug, Bucky’s face falls in realization. “Oh shit” he mutters. “What?” Steve asks, “I haven’t thought about how to ask her out.” Bucky says. Steve can only try to contain his snickers and fails miserably. Letting his loud laugh flow from his chest and out his mouth. Head thrown back and smacking his knee, he looks over at his best friend and laughs harder. 

“Hahaha, you need help- asking-her-out-” Steve chimes as he laughs more. 

“So can you help me?” Bucky asks, a little amused by Steve’s outburst but also nervous shitless. Steve cools down, well attempting after another round of laughs. When he finally calms down enough to speak full sentences, he exposes “I can help you with a lot of things, but getting you with my sister? Nah,” Steve responds, as he lets the new laugh rumble from his stomach. Bucky grumbles to himself trying not to laugh at Steve’s withering figure. 

‘Now how in the Hell do I ask her out?’ Bucky thinks as he watches Steve. Cracking into a smile himself then bursts out laughing with Steve; when Steve takes another glance at disgruntled friend.
