I ABSOLUTELY ADORE DUSK WITH ALL MY BEING AND I AGREE THAT SHE AND TWILIGHT SHOULD BE BESTIES DAMMIT!!

I am a FULL advocate of giving Dusk more character and friends I love her with all of my existence what we got from the game and the TP manga ain't NEARLY ENOUGH and I want to smack whoever thought not giving us the TP sequel where we could have had more of her was a good idea with my guitar, you can't tell me those two wouldn't be besties after Twilight Princess even if both she and Twi would have to likely jump many hoops, I have a lot of thoughts and headcanons about those two and not fully written stuff lol.

Warriors, my beloved <333

I adore how you conveyed the reader's and Warriors' complex relationship. The way that Warriors was reminiscing their earlier life together and how much they were both ruined from war hurt me (*T^T)

I'm invested in their relationship and am really interested in how they'll develop further along with more information from their initial fall out. Warriors simply holding reader while they were sobbing in the end was perfect (〃´ω`〃)

Warriors deserves more appreciation than what he gets and I am always delighted to write him. Man is RIFE for complexity and angst.

(Also sorry I didn't answer your other ask first, I'm getting to it promise. Life's just been kicking me in the ribs and I do literally have that essay somewhere in my docs, I am trying to dig it out and cut it for Tumblr mobile-)

Goodness thank you so much! when I tell you I almost spilt my coffee from happiness when I saw this ask you have no idea lol. I'm glad I managed to get that across from just a WIP. You can't tell me the War of Ages didn't leave it's scars on all involved, but specially Warriors since he was basically the Helen of Troy to Cia's Paris, and Reader was similarly affected but on a different spectrum. They're hurting a lot after the battlefield broke them down and unfortunately there's no easy way to fix it, and those simpler days are never coming back.

Glad to hear it! There will be more to come from these two eventually and I am super excited to flesh their relationship out more ^^. I am giving Warriors and Reader precisely one (1) moment of relief, as a treat for literally everything else in the full thing lmao.

I truly wish that we got more content with the Zeldas and especially Dusk, so seeing your piece on Dusk was a blessing 👀🌺

Even if she was an imposter, the amount of charm she had nearly stolen my heart completely. I would absolutely melt at the chance of dancing with the queen herself.

I'm happy with the fact that you mentioned how she felt lonely because those were always the vibes I felt from her — people saying she's cold never felt like an accurate description for me.

Especially when most of the game she was trapped in that room when Zant invaded. She didn't have any companions, not even a version of Impa with her.

All Zelda's are amazing and deserving of all the love and respect and I hardly see any love for Dusk, which shall not stand (she was done so dirty by the narrative). If I cannot find more content I will create it lol, glad you enjoyed it! There shall be more content with the Zeldas soon, not just the Links! ^^

That's the catch, for the imposter to mimic her so perfectly it would have to know how she actually is no? ;) I'm happy to hear she came across as just as charming as her real self would be in this situation, Reader will eventually get a real dance with her (because turns out I wasn't kidding about the part 2 *hysterical laughter in unifinished draft*)

Oh absolutely, that always was a key fact from her characterization that doesn't get explored a lot, she likely comes across as cold because we only saw her in what was essentially war time and she doesn't really have anyone she can be show to be warm with which doesn't help. It's an alley rife for exploration, on paper Dusk is probably the loneliest of all Zelda's, even Flora had people in her corner, but Dusk in game had no one she could truly confide and be herself with and the few times we see her be more alive is when we don't get to stick with her for long (when she and Link meet, and her sacrifice for Midna), even in the manga when she has that in Midna, it gets taken away from her by politics and old prejudices, I can't imagine the Twilight Invasion and the isolation helped any with that (hence why I gave Twilight as her wingman and bestie, no one can tell me they wouldn't grown close post-game, they're each others emotional support rancher and emotional support monarch beneath all the pleasantries), she needs company and some hugs asap.

Hello, I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but who did you mean the Champion, the wolf and the wanderer???

Hey there! And no need, you're fine! ^^ It was an allusion to Breath of the Wild Link (or Wild, I like to leave which interation of Link is in the story mostly up for interpretation when I write these because there might be folks who aren't in the LU fandom or the like), the wolf would be Wolf Link from TP who you can get as a companion in BOTW and the wanderer would be the new iteration of Reader, they have their own thing going on in this new lifetime even if some things from their time with First stuck (i.e the manacle scars) which I'll probably expand on in a full thing once I can settle down to write it lol.

It's so bittersweet that the reader and Link finally managed to fulfill that promise, even if it took another lifetime to do it. First really hits differently with the fact that he was doomed by narrative.

Spending years in imprisonment by the people he wanted to protect, the goddesses not doing crap to help, only to be released because they realized their "mistake" and kinda need him now, and dying in the end.

His love for the land and its people will always have me shambles because it was never fair. I love the idea that he created a connection with a person who's in a similar situation as him. And I appreciate the fact that he was given some sense of gratitude in the end because he really deserves it.

It's wonderful to see you again! And blessing with another piece of your writing. I hope everything will go well for you, take it easy!

One of my favorite things about LOZ is how it tackles the subject of cyclic reincarnation and how some things parallel and mirror each other even when not quite staying the same (a consistent temporal leitmotif if you will), I adore angst and tragedy but Link has gone through enough so I'll give him something good as a treat even if it took MANY years and timelines to get there lol.

First really does hit different which is why he's honestly one of my favorite Links to write for, this man was given absolutely no chance by the narrative, he tried so so hard to keep his people safe with the tools he was given, to be scorned by the people he loves and wants to protect the most, spending so many years deprived of his freedom, he loved them so so much and it didn't matter until he was actually proven right and needed, he had all the right to turn away from everything once he was free and yet he didn't, he still chose to fight for them and protect them and died for them and it really wasn't fair at all and it destroys me a little on the inside every time.

(Especially taking into account that the reason Hylia let it happen was all because it was part of her plan as a 'trial', man already had some indiference towards the divine and that probably didn't help which makes it even more impressive that he took up arms nonetheless.)

Hopefully when I actually expand on this I can fully bring that feeling to life and do it justice, I really feel like First deserves happiness and I'm really happy you liked it! He tried his hardest for Hyrule and honestly deserves all of the best for it! ^^
