plot: you and taehyung have been together for some months now… and your feelings for him have only grown stronger. the connection between you two is more special than anything you’ve ever had before, and you could’ve sworn that the butterflies he still gives you should’ve been gone by now, as you’ve been used to in previous relationships. but this comforting feeling…
today was one of your special dates together. every once in a while, the two of you would get in the car, blast your favorite music and just go wherever your heart lead you. these types of adventures have taken you places you never knew were there even if they were sometimes around the area you’ve grown up into, places that became your special secret hideouts. you would have picnics, read together, paint or draw the nature around you or even each other if you felt inspired enough. when one of you felt overwhelmed with the intensity of their feelings, you would make love. you were sure no one else made you feel better than he did… and that the feeling was mutual.
you could hear his car coming in your driveway. before he even got to reach your doorbell, you were already coming outside and running straight into his arms. he chuckled softly and gave you a short peck on your forehead before you were both heading to his car. you could already feel the warmth growing inside you as he was now in your presence. you always thought he smelled like freedom. he turned the music on, playing your both’s favorite playlist: a mix of all genres but mostly indie music because it would just get you in the vibe for traveling. it was sweet. you couldn’t help glancing at him every now and then, slipping your hand through his silky black hair and giving him a massage as a soft smile was plastered on both of your faces. his hand was now carefully touching your thigh, occasionally squeezing whenever you’d stare at him too much, causing his cheeks to turn pink. it would, of course, take his attention off the road.
you realize, no matter how much time you two spent together, you’d always have something new and interesting to talk about. the subjects were infinite. and so were the laughs. you could start from the simplest things like what cereal you ate this morning or how you both loved the smell of lavender to more deeper topics like the insignificance of human life in the universe or the microscopic probability of finding your soulmate on the same planet where you were born. no matter what the two of you would blabber about, you’d always listen to his honeyed deep voice rolling off his tongue so carefully, as if he was saying the most absorbing story you’ve ever heard. every single time.
getting out of your thoughts, you figure that you’ve entered a forest, one that didn’t look familiar to any of the ones you’ve been to before. after some time, taehyung pulls over to the right side of the road, signaling you have arrived. as you got out of the car, the summer breeze was soft as it blew through the trees. the sun was peeking through the millions of leaves, warmly touching your skin. he looked at you and grabbed your hand, eager to lead you somewhere. this time, he knew where he was going.
shortly, you reached a lake. as both of you were standing on a tall rocky edge, you were sure you’ve never seen water as clear and blue as this one before. you felt his hand let go and, when you looked up to where he was standing, you noticed he started taking his clothes off. drunk with his craziness, you started doing the same. the water looked inviting and so did he. a few seconds after, he steadily grabbed your hand and started counting from 5 to 1. and then you jumped.
it was cold, but refreshing. it was what you needed. as you swam back to the surface, you realized taehyung’s hand was no longer in yours. you looked around for some moments, but he wouldn’t come back out. before you started to panic and call out his name, you were suddenly pulled back in the water by his strong hands. as he took you in his arms, you dared to open your eyes just to see his dark figure. even if it was blurry, you could see the familiar boxy smile he always wore around you. his hands were now around your face and, as you closed your eyes back again, you could feel his lips on yours. his kiss was deep and warm and, if it wasn’t for the lack of oxygen, you would have decided to spend the rest of eternity in that specific moment.
it soon got late. the cold was starting to settle in and his big hands around your body were no longer keeping you physically sheltered. after you put your clothes back on, you started heading back to the car. if the moon’s bright shine was absent, you’d have hardly been able to find your way there. taehyung started the engine, but didn’t drive away just yet. he decided the stars were too beautiful tonight to not take some time watching them with you. while the trap door was opening, you laid your head on his shoulder. as his hand was hugging you tighter, you felt at peace. you saw one or two falling stars, but it didn’t matter as you already had everything you ever wished for.
he made you feel like you were in a movie. as if your favorite playlist was the sound track and you two were the protagonists. this sweet feeling… maybe it’s love. and maybe you’ve never been so sure of a thing in your life ever before.
