so I know that this isn't my usual smut post and i've been kinda MIA but I've been reading The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo and there's many, many references to Taylor swift and/ or Kaylor so I want to write an essay on it. I am posting it to tumblr to give me a reason to finish it cause I never finish essays. this is just the opening paragraph (or half of it depending on if I add to it or the feed back I get back from my bestie), I've been working on my writing and I'm very proud of this so far. I hope you like it and I am open to feed back if you have any :)
Taylor swift, a woman whose closet is made of glass, and the fictional character Evelyn Hugho from “The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid, a woman who spent half her time loving Celia St. James and the other half hiding how much she loved her both have one thing in common, they fell in love with a woman while dating a man. It started in a closet at an awards show after being told her new friend, Celia St. james, is a lesbian Evelyn decided to confront the red haired woman which leads to a kiss. At some point between 2010-2012 Taylor and Karli met while Swift was dating her then beard Harry Styles, their first public interaction was on twitter on January 17th 2012 with Karli tweeting “hey @(Taylorswift13) love the @(vogue magazine) cover! Your kitchen or mine?”. Many fans often compare Evelyn and Taylor, they being two women who have had a secret relationship with a women (or multiple in Taylor’s case- Hey, dianna).

So hear me out we got the deluxe version at 8 am (I think) the clock on Taylor Nation runs out at 2 PM.
Thats where the black nail is! Maybe we will get something at 2:00 PM 🤔
Years from now, we will still be here, existing in our small corner of the internet. While others will slowly lose interest in her or in her music.
Maybe they will no longer speculate when she settles down with someone maybe they will not find her as intriguing or interesting without all the drama surrounding her, but we will still be here sharing.
Maybe it will be with nostalgia ‘Hey, remember when she released Me! Out now! On lesbian visibility day? or when she talked about kissing lips so scarlet it was maroon or hundreds of things in her songs and pictures.
The Gaylors have existed for over a decade now despite all the backlash and will continue to exist for decades.
In a way, we are her most loyal fans as we have remained loyal to her and her music despite her never truly protecting or acknowledging us. Will the others still stay if she does the same to them?
Maybe or maybe not. I, for one, will love and support her till my dying breath.
We will continue to scream ‘I love you’ to her no matter what. Even if we will never hear one in her silence.
To The New Kaylors

The significant consensus, I believe, is that Kaylor existed. They had a very passionate/Romantic Relationship that ended when Karlie chose the safer option of marrying Josh and Having a family and kids.
Taylor went on to write the devastating Folklore/Evermore Albums.
Till this point, it is accepted as happened.
The fandom is pretty divided on all other matters after this.
Joe was always a beard or Not. Some believe that it started as a bearding but turned into an actual relationship.
The Miss Americana Documentary was a coming-out documentary, and it was actually Karlie or some other Woman (lots of speculation on that) in many of those scenes. Still, it was all thwarted by the big Coming-out failure during the Lover Era due to her masters being sold.
Some lore is that, yes, they broke up but are now back together, pointing to Great War and Several Songs on Midnights.
Some believe that since Karlie showed up at the eras tour, they are now on a path to reconciliation, whether as friends or something more remains to be seen.
In Conclusion, take everything with a grain of salt and don't lose your mind (it's very easy to do so). Always remember that she is a real person and not a fictional character like SwanQueen and SuperCorp. We can ship to our heart's content. Recognizing that distinction is important because we can all take it a bit too far sometimes. She does not owe us anything.
Listen to her lyrics, pick up the coding in it, and analyze it as it's meant to be, but keep a healthy distance, and you should be fine.
The biggest pitfall of being a Gaylor is forgetting boundaries and becoming too defensive to the point that we forget she is a human being.
Speculate, but don't ship her with everyone in sight. You don't date all your friends, and she doesn't, too.
Accept that we might all be wrong, and she is straight. Accept that even if she is queer, she might never come out.
Be respectful. Keep perspective and enjoy the rabbit hole that it's the Gaylor Community. It's been waiting for you.
