@taylorswift response to the whole TicketMaster (TM) fiasco. To preface, I’ve been a Swifty before that was a thing (hello Debut when I was 14), but I don’t know her. I do want to point out some things in her defense of this situation and some things we can do!
Remember that it’s the venues who have the contracts with TM, and if @taylorswift wants to use stadiums—which she has to do to tour in a way that meets the majority of the demand in a way that’s sustainable for her—she is also forced into using TM. I know plenty won’t remember this, but at Pearl Jam’s height of popularity, they tried to schedule a tour without TM. They were left with small places like ski resorts. And while that would be a super cool concert, that’s not sustainable for really popular artists who want to see as many fans as possible. Taylor would have to play 350+ venues with 10,000 seats to reach a similar demand as the current stadium tour—just in the US. That isn’t something anyone can do long term like that. This is the very first time I have been able to afford tickets, and I only got my nosebleeds because of a lot of luck, and that’s really sad for me that TM is screwing over my friends and fellow fans in this manner.
If you’re angry, sad, or disappointed, that’s okay! But I bet @taylorswift is, too. I think she knows all too well (*winks*) how important her fans are. Do we need to revisits 2016, or the part in Miss Americana where she though Lover was her last opportunity for success? But if you’re upset, feel it, and feel free to use it! Call your representatives!!!! Over on Instagram, @emilyinyourphone has some awesome scripts you can use to contact your Congresspeople to demand action!

that vigilante shit choreography... ... LIKE JOE CAN YOU FIGHT???? (has aged like milk) BECAUSE– really, it gave me the same feeling as when i first heard the song i was like "WOW THIS IS HOT WOMAN'S MUSIC!!!! TAYLOR SWIIIIIIFTTT" like that beat had me so shocked that i was 😲😲 DURING THE WHOLE SONG and her performance managed to leave me like that again... yeah... blondie is so hot
her showing up singing 22 with the 22 costume made me SO excited and SO thrilled, the same thing when she started playing fearless!!! and for those who made that video comparing taylor from 2008 X 2023 jumping up during the song will pay for my therapy okay?!!??

i could have sworn she was going to sing long live and yoyok because, right??? the ERAS tour, her career, her fans and everything, she literally talks about it all in both songs!! but 🤷♀️... and i have a theory that when she releases sn tv she will add more songs from it on the tour because that's the only justification i can think of, LIKE SHE SANG JUST ONE SONG!!! WTF
