No but in the arc where we find out about the clock keepers and nene’s lifespan(I forgot what it was called) it is stated that the clock keepers abilities do not work as effectively on supernaturals. What does this mean. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN.

I feel that it would be dissappointing if shijima/mitsuba was actually alive and their mystery selves don’t exist at all in this present, period. With no memories coming back to them. Or anything, really.

Aidalro what are the ramifications of this I am in your walls

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

Before I get to that... can we talk about THIS?

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

Summer Festival chapters 37-38, this panel is in 38.

And Yashiro decides that THIS was a dream! I mean, it could have been but does anyone of us believe that? No! Plus, let's say it was a dream, why did Yashiro dream of little Hanako/Amane to say "you're my type" while she has multiple times REFUSED that she likes Hanako in that way. I can't...

NEXT!

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

Honestly, when this arc started (I had gotten spoiled that this would happen) I thought "oh, Hanako is alive now...", I was confused just as much as Yashiro was and then when I saw Mitsuba is alive as well... something definitely felt off. The fact that only Kou and Yashiro were aware, didn't sit right with me. But it was cute and then...

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

This happens, and it's not cute, it's not fun. Though, question. Later on, it is revealed that both Hanako and Mitsuba were aware that this world was fake, Mitsuba knew for sure since he was there when it happened but Hanako obviously wasn't dumb enough to believe that it was real, since he was alive in 1960s not when Yashiro is. Anyway, my question is, why didn't Akane get drugged into this? And if he did, which I don't think so, why wasn't he aware? Another question... where was Teru? Though it wouldn't be wise to have him in that world but still, he said nothing after the fact either. And yes, he hasn't for many events but he said something in the whole Clock Keepers chapters and this seemed just as an important thing to have happened... maybe he didn't notice but I somehow doubt that.

Also! Bc Hanako was aware or I guess, it was the real Hanako in that world the whole time...

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

HE DRUGGED THIS OUT OF YASHIRO AND GOD DAMN! This meant something to him. Her saying that she likes him as Amane as well and then later on...

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

The moment on the roof where Yashiro again says that she likes Hanako, mind you this is the second time she says it without adding "as a friend" after it.

Anyway though...

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

Yashiro learning about her shortened life span, both shocked me but it was also something I was expecting in a way. It's sad really, how even though Hanako pretended to not care if Yashiro dies (in the The Three Clock Keepers chapters), the reason why he didn't reveal himself, the reason why he didn't want to destroy this fake world was for Yashiro. He wants her to live and if this was a loophole, he would take it. Even if he made them, Kou and Yashiro, mad at him. He didn't care.

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

But of course, let me quickly introduce the No.4 of the Seven Mysteries, Shijima Mei. Honestly, her story confused me, like, is she dead and that's her dead spirit or is that her imaginary personality that came to life after her death? I got confused, I don't know.

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!

Well, that's the end, the fake world was destroyed and this is the last panel of it. Honestly, I still have stuff to say but I will have a post solely focused on it, haha.

Next post will be favourite panels, and thank you for reading this, honestly...

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

It starts with exams, ends with SADNESS! God, this arc killed me at the end of it.

With Yashiro knowing of her limited time, she wants to do something about it, and it's on her mind a lot, as it should be. Now, something like a camp is happening at the school so our characters are there, and so are a bunch of supernaturals.

Yashiro and Akane are almost taken, when they are suddenly saved by the No.6 of the Seven Mysteries, Shinigami. Last of the Mysteries to be introduced. And he takes Aoi.

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

So, of course we go on the journey to save her, end up in a hole full of bugs and what not and meet No.6's yorishiro.

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

What they did to the young maidens in the past just to get rid of supernaturals is not a plot I have not seen before, but that doesn't make it any less disturbing to see. How can they do it? It's kind of like this. You wouldn't want to die, you wouldn't want to be sacrificed, so why should someone else want that?

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

But that explained why Aoi was taken and why she was important. No.6 was planning to sacrifice her so the supernaturals and humans get separated. And accidentally, Akane made that sacrifice happen... which caused the Severance...

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

Chapter 71 can disappear for all I care. How dare they hurt me that way!

What was No.6 thinking? Huh?

Though, I understand that this happened because of Hanako in the first place. The seven mysteries are important for the safety of the school and what has been happening since the very beginning is taking that authority from them, with breaking their yorishiros.

We wouldn't have a story if those things didn't happen, No.6 wouldn't have done this. But... ugh, pain.

And with Aoi dead, Yashiro got a longer life span, Hanako fulfilled her wish in the way she didn't want and with him not really doing something, except not want to save Aoi. It feels selfish, bad... Yashiro wants to slap him...

SACRIFICE OF THE GRIM REAPER ARC!

But she mostly, doesn't want him to go. To disappear...

I'M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!

Anyway, maybe this arc didn't have me saying much, but doesn't matter because it still hurt!

Minamoto Teru

Minamoto Teru

Oh dear God. What a panel as well. πŸ˜‚

Am I going to defend him? Not per se... it's more like giving a different perspective.

Minamoto Teru

Recent chapters do not paint him in a favorable light, even older ones, like chapter 10, and some more but chapter 85 and 10 (and 87 you can say) have been stuck in my mind more.

And I believe the reason for it, is because of who our main characters are. A girl who meets a ghost and befriends an exorcist who doesn't want to exorcize ghosts.

What if our story had someone like Teru as our main character? I'm not saying specifically Teru because I can't see it, but what if our main was an exorcist, whose goal was to exorcize ghosts that from his perspective would be/seem evil, especially because of the rumors being a key factor with how the ghosts act.

It would be a completely different story, wouldn't you think?

Now take Teru..

Since the age of 8, he has been an exorcist, a talented one, as said in chapter 9, he doesn't know anything else. He was taught, ghosts/spirits/wonders, whatever you wanna call them, are evil. They want to harm humans, attack, eat, kill, steal, anything you can possibly be taught so that he can only think there is no good in them and that you shouldn't feel bad. Being the eldest, those things were most likely drilled into him, while Kou didn't undergo through all that, for the most part, because Teru took on heavy duty.

With this being said...

Minamoto Teru
Minamoto Teru

This 100% feels uncalled for. No, Hanako is not in the clear, he is at fault for the situation but Teru... is manipulating him, trying to make him drop his guard so that he can finally exorcize him. He knows where it would hurt him the most, make him more vulnerable. And it hurts to see it work...

Or the way he simply said to his brother "he's weak", it's heartbreaking. Of course, he protects him at the end but chapter 87 showed how much of a broken and even twisted character he is because of what he has gone through from a young age.

Anyway, when this is posted, like two more chapters are out but this was written back in December so...

An edit later, and after chapter 87, I've not changed much in the post, just added the last paragraph. But my point that Kou didn't go through the same things because Teru took heavy duty was 100% confirmed.

So, theory time. This focuses a lot on events that have been animated, a.k.a season 1, if more information for it, either to confirm or deny it, appear I might expand it but honestly, it's not that big of a theory and most likely not accurate but it has been occupying my mind. Plus, I don't think it'll ever get touched upon. Also, if someone has said this, I have not seen it anywhere.

So, let me start!

So, Theory Time. This Focuses A Lot On Events That Have Been Animated, A.k.a Season 1, If More Information

A Yugi twins plus Minamoto family theory, I call it "Trapped". And it's based on three panels.

So, Theory Time. This Focuses A Lot On Events That Have Been Animated, A.k.a Season 1, If More Information

Chapter 3 in the manga, when Kou was first introduced...

So, Theory Time. This Focuses A Lot On Events That Have Been Animated, A.k.a Season 1, If More Information

Chapter 17 in the manga, right after Tsukasa was introduced...

How do these two fit? Well, it's what they say in these panels that made me think.

You see, when Kou was introduced and said his grandma trapped Hanako. At first I thought "oh, so like trapped him to the toilet?" But then this little extra panel exists...

So, Theory Time. This Focuses A Lot On Events That Have Been Animated, A.k.a Season 1, If More Information

Yes, Yashiro asks why he's called 'Hanako-san' but it's still referring to him being to the girl's bathrooms. So, with this, he's not trapped to the toilet, maybe he is by the rumors but he was not trapped by the Minamoto grandma.

But where does Tsukasa fit? Well, he said, after being introduced, for the first time on the roof, "I can't move too well".

Why can't he move well? Was he, perhaps, trapped? Trapped by the Minamoto grandma? But then, Kou described Hanako, so why would it be Tsukasa?

They look extremely alike. Except for the sticker (and maybe the teeth), they look the same. You can say the clothes are different but it's not like Tsukasa hasn't dressed like his brother before. Literally was introduced with Hanako's clothing.

So, what if, somehow, he learned that Hanako was being "hunted" and took his place? He wouldn't even need to do much, just dress like him, maybe have a kitchen knife with him, though not necessary, and pretend to be him.

The Minamoto family could have just heard of Hanako-san rumors or bc of who they are, they did their research, bases like name, weapon, maybe abilities. Since the wonders are supposed to be murders, it would be assumed, right off the bat that they have killed.

Everything could be said and be accurate about Hanako and yet the one that got trapped could have been Tsukasa.

Another and final panel would be this...

So, Theory Time. This Focuses A Lot On Events That Have Been Animated, A.k.a Season 1, If More Information

Chapter 20 in the manga, second time Tsukasa and Hanako see each other...

Hanako could have very well avoided Tsukasa for 10, 20, maybe even 30 years. Meaning, it could be 100% possible that Tsukasa was the one trapped but of course, it's not like he would say it.

Or Hanako was simply trapped for a bit and that was it. I don't know. My brain likes to think things that might not make any sense or be true.

I'll take my leave...

Bye! πŸ™ˆ
