An alter that tends to fit in the caretaker archetype, they will prioritise praising alters and rewarding them when they’ve done good, usually they form due to a lack of praise/support growing up

type of protector but more intense. Will front and/or take charge of any and all situations where the systems needs are being overlooked or used against the system. Will often use words to stand up for the system and keep off others who may be attempting to bring harm to the system

An understudy is an alter that will take over fronting duties whenever others won’t or are unable to front. They are attached to the front and will often be close to the front at all times. Like a host, they find it very easy to switch into main front and unlike other alters, they enjoy and often prefer to be in front

DID, OSDD, and amnesia can present so many ways. it's different for everyone.
amnesia may present for one as forgetting things that happened in childhood, while having great memory for recent events. it may also be remembering everything that happened in childhood while having terrible memory for recent events.
amnesia doesn't have to be complete loss of memory, either. a lot of people do have that kind of amnesia, but sometimes amnesia is being able to recall a memory but it being so blurry and indistinguishable it's pretty much like it actually is gone, or something like remembering pieces of what you just did while you can't actually find the visual memory in your head, as if someone just told you what you did but left out major parts of the story.
it might also present as emotional amnesia, where you are unable to recall the feelings you felt at the time of the event, while you otherwise can remember what happened.
you don't even have to forget that you've forgotten. while a lot of these are more common in DID and OSDD, none of them are necessary other than the fact you have amnesia of some kind, and in some people with OSDD, none at all.
you don't have to have every single type of amnesia, you can have multiple or all types of amnesia, you can also have only one. any amnesia counts.

A mediator is an alter that specialises in managing conflict, both internal and external (though some may specialise in one or the other).
Mediators are often calm and very good at communicating in different styles, and may be described as 'social butterflies' or 'social chameleons'.
INTROJECT TERMS WE HAVE COINED (WITHOUT USING "TIVE")
for starters, ive seen people use fictroject and factroject to avoid using fictive and factive because of their ties to endos, so do as you will with that.

MUSIJECT: An introject sourced from music-- whether that's a song, album, genre, lyric or anything else pertaining to music
AESTHEJECT: An introject sourced from an aesthetic of some sort
COLOJECT: An introject sourced from a color / an alter whos identity is based around a specific color
ARTROJECT: An introject sourced from a physical piece of art, like a painting, drawing, sculpture, wood carving, etc.
GAMTROJECT: An introject sourced from a game-- video game, board game, card game, etc.
STORTROJECT: An introject sourced from a story. This story could be verbal or written. The story could be a fairytale, manga, retelling of a real event.
PLATROJECT: An introject sourced from a real or fictional place. The place can be as big as a planet to as small as small as a room (or even bigger/smaller.)

SYSTEM ROLES I'VE CLAIMED PART 1 NOTE: These are TRAUMAGENIC EXCLUSIVE terms. We are anti-endo!
ROOT: A root alter is an alter who has connection/communication with most, if not, all of the system. CLOWN: A clown alter is an alter who exists to cheer people up within or outside of the system, often times by joking around/being funny. ANALYST: An analyst alter is an alter who acts like a therapist for members of the system. This tends to happen with a lack of good therapy or therapy at all, and can also occur when an alter needs support quickly. REGRESSOR: A regressor alter is a (typically) little alter who's role to is to front for another alter to mimic age/pet/etc. regression. Regressors usually help the system solely by being young/nonhuman/etc. BOT: A bot alter is an alter that has a database of sorts of the system. It can be general system information, such as information about headspace locations, alters roles, relations, and activity, and other stuff. Usually unrelated to memories or trauma, but can also include that. PROXY: Unlike a proxy for a proxy bot, a proxy alter is an alter who exists to speak on behalf of other alters. Typically these alters front to ease the stress of other alters WARMONGER: A warmonger is an alter who purposefully causes harm, internally and/or externally, knowing it's unhelpful. Warmongers usually don't accept help and can even be considered toxic and/or dangerous. (DISCLAIMER: This role was created with the intent to give a label to a specific type of persecutor. This role is not meant to generalize or harm anyone.) CAMOUFLAGE: A camouflage alter is an alter that masks as other alters in the system, for good or for bad intent. These alters can also convince other system members that they are still fronting, on purpose or otherwise. MEDIATOR: A mediator alter is an alter who mediates a stressful situation unbiasedly and communicates things between the system/alter and the person/people the system is having issues with. KNIGHT: A knight alter is a type of protector who specifically protects friends and family outside of the system.
System Age Roles
[ There are no right or wrong ways to identify with these terms! Names with * next to them are the original names, feel free to use these, but if you prefer something more distant, use the second name! ]
*Alder / AnnualAge :
When an alter ages year by year, however not on the body's birthday. This may present as yearly changes, mental changes, a mix of both, or something adjacent.
*Age-Sticky / Age-Stuck :
Similar to age-slide, however, the alter tends to stay "stuck" at a certain age for a long period of time before getting "unstuck" and shifting to another. There is no definite time one might stay this age, or it may come in patterns.
*Age-Hazy / Age-Fog :
When an alter feels connected with a group of ages instead of a single age. These ages can be vast, or only a small group. At times the age might feel more specific or completely uncertain.
*Age Dissociated / Age Disconnect :
When an alter of a certain age/ages feels disconnected with their age. There may be a reason [ coming out of dormancy to a way older body, going through some trauma, etc ] or it may be sudden with no explanation.
*Age Advancing / Continuous Age :
When an alter ages with the body. They do not have to be the same age as the body, but just gain a year as the body does - typically on the body's birthday.
CARDITIVE

A carditive is a factive of a deceased person. They may be a traumaholder, memory holder, or other role that could be related to grief, but they don’t have to be.
Cardi- is taken from cardinal, a bird that represents grief.
SUBSYS TYPE COINING
INSEPERABLE PAIR: Inseperable pair describes a type of subsystem of 2 alters who are constantly together (and of course, fit the other criteria of being a subsystem) SYSTEMCEPTION: Sysception describes a type of subsystem where an alter within the main system has their own set of alters
SQUAD: (The) Squad describes the most common type of subsystem to see, and most often goes over peoples heads when considering they may have a subsystem. This is just a decent sized group of alters (5 and onward I would say) that have better communication and deal with the same issues.
