It’s Alright, We’re Okay. (Part 2)

Vyn Richter // Mo Yi
Vyn walks with long strides straight to your office, only his brisk pace betraying his calm facade that he is worried. It’s extremely late, and you’ve told him you’re doing overtime; but he felt something was wrong with the way your message sounded – or rather, read. When he tried to call you, you didn’t even pick up; messaging him a quick apology that you were in a meeting (at this hour?). Vyn’s brows furrowed, but he remained seated at his work; wondering how he could make your day better when you get home.
But sitting idle was not something Vyn could tolerate, especially when it came to you. It wasn’t long before he found himself shutting off his computer, and driving to your building; heading straight to you, grimacing at how the floor was already dim and empty save for your office.
He knocked lightly, but the door was already slightly ajar. Vyn sees you sitting by your desk, head in your hands as you shakily breathe. You were visibly trembling. You don’t even notice his presence, until he’s crouching by your side, gently prying your trembling hands off your face. You meet his concerned gaze with wide eyes, words failing you as he silences you with a kiss to your temple.
You inhale his scent as he holds you in his embrace, hands soothingly tracing your hair and back. “Ssh, my dear. It’s alright, I’m here now,” Vyn coos at you in a gentle, soft voice. He rocks you in his arms gently, humming a soft tune as he waits for your breathing to become steadier.
When you are no longer shaking, he lets you go for a moment; quickly gathering your things with one hand as his other refuses to let you go. “It’s alright, I can get your things for you.” You try to help him, but his arm around your shoulders doesn’t let you stray away from him; so you just melt against him, resting your head against the crook of his neck.
Vyn doesn’t bother leading you out of the building to his car – he simply carried you there in his arms. His worries ease a bit, as you let out a soft, amused huff when he lifts you up. As he approaches his car, he asks, “Do you want to lie down in the back?” He felt your head against his shoulder shake in disapproval, barely catching your mumbled words of, “No, want to be beside you, please.”
As he settles you down in the passenger seat, fastening your seatbelt on, Vyn gives you another kiss on the temple. When he’s seated in the driver seat, he takes your hand, his lips barely brushing over your knuckles. “Just a bit more, okay? I’ll get us home soon. It’s going to be alright. We’re going to be alright.”
Luke Pearce // Xia Yan
Luke scratches the back of his head as he stands outside your office building. He knew you were working late, but thought it’d be nice to surprise you and perhaps get a super late dinner. But he pauses, maybe he should have called first? Luke just couldn’t help that after he was done with his work, he found his feet taking him to you. He mentally shrugs, walking in the building, giving polite nods to the guard and some of your colleagues who recognized him.
His eyebrows furrow in worry when he notices just how few people left are in the building, and how most of the lights are already turned off. “Damn, must be some overtime,” he mutters to himself. When he turns the corner to head to your area, he freezes.
Even from afar, Luke can tell how you’re upset and stressed. You’re resting your head in your arms on the desk, but from the way you’re trembling – you’re breathing hard, probably crying a bit too. His mind immediately turns alert for any signs of danger or threats; but then he realizes it’s something else and a sense of helplessness settles in his gut.
Meanwhile, you’re trying not to sob aloud, sniffing quietly in your arms; when a gentle touch on your arm startles you. Your head jerks up, and you see Luke sitting beside you. Your mouth opens, but no words come out; Luke only gently smiles at you before pulling you in his embrace.
And you melt. Tears finally falling on his shirt. Luke’s hand traces random patterns on your back and waist, as he hums a soft, calming tune. The walls and the partition of the cubicles help hide you both away from the rest of the world. Luke pulls you against him further, until you’re sitting on his lap as he just holds you. When your hushed sobs have died down, he speaks, “Mm, wanna go home, angel?”
You nod, and Luke lets you sit back on your chair; as he stands and organizes your desk. He packs up things into your bag, before turning to you and reaching out a hand. You grab his hand, standing and smiling slightly when he gives you a kiss on the cheek. “Want me to carry you outta here?” You laugh, and shake your head. “You sure? Princess-carry, piggyback, fireman-carry – you can choose.”
“Mm, I think I’d rather not be the topic of office gossip for the week,” you joke, voice still a bit shaky but your smile eases up the tension in Luke’s shoulder. “Alright then, let’s go home, angel.” But before he leads you a step further, Luke turns back, “‘M here, okay? Not gonna go anywhere. We’ll be okay.”

Luke Pearce
A little panicked, as soon as you stumbled out of your room to go on about your day, your face flushed for no apparent reason he yelped, “No way you’re going anywhere today! You’re staying at home and recovering!”
Literally rushes to the convenience store nearby to buy you medicine. You wake up from your nap to see him drenched in sweat with a plastic bag in his hand and a smile on his face.
Knows your favorite foods that you eat when you're sick and tries his best to make it but, well, he’s not the best cook. So he buys some instead.
He makes sure that you take your medicines on time and always stays by your side.
Drowns you in hugs and kisses, no matter what you say or do can make him stop. “Luke! You’re going to get sick as well!” he continues to drown you in love and affection.
Such a cutie, trying his best to take care of you. Cheers you up by telling stories, either from his past or funny stories of you guys.
Artem Wing
Immediately pulls you back to bed as soon as he feels your temperature. “You have a fever. You need to stay home and rest.”
A lot calmer than Luke or Marius.
Has basic medicine at home, since he’s a workaholic he takes medicine and works from home. Quickly drives to the nearest convenience store to buy more medicine, if needed. He won’t do anything like that to you though. Insists you stay in bed.
Offers to clear up work or studies for you if on a deadline or urgent.
Home cooked meals, he’s a great cook, I just know it.
Such a serious and worried cutie, tries his best to help. Offers his arm for support wherever you go and feeds you water every 30 minutes.
Vyn Richter
Notices something is off almost instantly. “You don’t look so well.” “I’m fine.” after a few moments of silence, and of him inspecting you, “You’re sick. You need to rest.”
Definitely the calmest in the group. I mean he’s a doctor. Psychiatrist, but he still has the general medical knowledge.
Has ALL the medicine you need, throat lozenges? check. Tylenol for headaches? check. No convenience store run for him.
Brews you herbal tea depending on your symptoms and omg are they delicious and cures your sore throat almost instantaneously. Reminds you to take your medicine on time, never misses one.
Acts as an actual doctor in hopes of cheering you up, “It seems like you’ve been overworked for too long, too much stress. I prescribe you 3-5 days of rest.” “Yes, Dr. Richter~” you play along, having fun.
Marius von Hagen
At first he panicked when he felt your body rising in temperature. “Ah! Jiejie, why’re you so hot?” You laugh at his wording, even if your throat hurts. “I know I’m hot, but thanks for the reassurance” you tease him back. “You have a fever, Jiejie!” he says, touching your forehead, ignoring what you just said.
Such a drama queen. Has Payton bring every single medicine they could find in that huge mansion of his as well as send Payton to go buy every single medicine on the shelf of the nearby convenience store.
Was about to call the ambulance, which you refused of course, “It’s just a fever! Rest and water is all I need!” He insists on driving you to the hospital. After a talk with Payton, both of you begging Marius that it’s not that bad, he reluctantly agrees.
He contacts AT LEAST 3 doctors to come immediately to treat you. All of this makes you even more tired, you decide to lie down and take a break from all of his… worried actions…
He finally finds you in his room, all wrapped up and sleeping. He stays by your side the whole time, offering help when not even needed.
“Where are you going?” “To the toilet.” “Let me help.” He helps bring you to the toilet, just as you step inside he doesn’t leave. You raise an eyebrow. “Um?” “I can help!” “I don’t need help anymore! I can pee by myself!” “but-” “Marius, get out!” ”forgive him. He just worries about you <3
Once you get better though, ohoho, he’s teasing you about this every chance he gets. You soon miss the quiet days of your fever and how he was always worried and listening to you. Now he’s back to his teasing and antics.
