bars and clubs could be a bit tricky thanks to their lighting. you could argue that was part of their appeal, though. bring people in, liquor them up and dull their judgement while their senses are left to scramble in the darkness that broke between the intense, blinding lights leading most to grab onto the first person they saw just so they could get away from it all. bars and clubs didn't make their money off of their patrons making good decisions.
stepping closer, blinking as some of the lasers traced across his face, wyne didn't let the undying pulse of the people around him knock him away from the other; he didn't let the lights keep him from looking the younger man over with unabashed appreciation; he didn't let the blasting music keep him from hearing what he said.
"i am." wyne answered with a genuine, albeit a tad uncharacteristic smile, as the other questioned him. "are you that surprised to have someone talking to you here? you are a bit overdressed," he half teased as he gestured down at his own shirtlessness, "but you still stole my attention away so that should count for something."

"honestly? i'm not a hundred percent sure i understand how they work either, the rooms." he shrugged as he leaned his head back a bit, pursing his lips, as he tried to remember. how did they explain it to him when he first arrived? "i was told there were rooms available to get away from all the noise, and the crowd, so you can really get to know someone without having to put on a show but i haven't actually used one yet; first time coming here and all."
"we could figure them out together, if you'd like," the half-ghost's lips settled into a warm smile that, again, betrayed his usually chilliness as a passing stranger bumped into him; pushing him closer to the young man he was speaking with. "or we could just start with some drinks and see what happens."

If it hadn't of been for his next door roommate in the chateau, then Alistair would not have wound up entering the red death club. It didn't really seem like his scene but he wanted to at least put himself out there. It had been four years since he had arrived in Alexandria and he liked it. He felt...somewhat safe. So, if this was were he was going to stick around, then he may as well try and hang out more in town. The half blind werewolf was about to speak to his next door roommate when he was pulled away by someone into the mass group of people in the dance floor.
Perfect. He didn't know anyone here, at least, he couldn't tell. Being half blind, and the way the strobe lights were blasting, really didn't help him. Deciding he would grab a drink, he pushed himself through the crowd until he was stopped by an object in his path. A person. "Are you talking to me?" He uttered out as he titled his head. Though, he was quick to realize that he never actually had any money with him, so at least if this guy was offering, he would take it. "Sure. A drink would be good." His head titled again. "A room? What do you mean?" This was his first time in this club after all.

"well, yeah you're surprised someone is talking to you or are you agreeing that you're overdressed," he teased as the corners of his mouth widened into a warm, playful smile. "or both?"
here, lost in the chaos of pulsing beams of light and music so loud you could feel it in your bones, in a space where everything and everyone was meant to be touched, was where wyne felt the most at ease. the noise was enough to drown out the heaviness in his mind that the weight of his time alive burdens him with. he can breathe. he can smile. he can relax and just give in to desire and need.
--but he also knew not everyone felt that way about clubs or bars; and the younger man he was currently enamored by was clearly more of the latter if the tension in his shoulders was anything for him to go by.

"sure," wyne called out, "like a private booth; though, in a place like this, they don't expect you to use them for talking. or so i've heard." the half-ghost teased with a subtle lick of his lips.
when the other lifted his hands to cover his ears the first thought that came to wyne's mind was cute. whether it was his intention or not, the younger man was pulling wyne deeper in with everything he did and said. "here," he spoke up as he reached out to offer the other his hand. "come with me?" taking a step back, his hand still stretched out for the other, he posed the question as he started to lean away so he could lead the other through the noise and get them to a room.

The blaring of the music was certainly affecting the half blind wolf. Being a werewolf, his hearing was already heightened but being half blind, he learned to get by by making is other senses much sharper. So with the music thumping in his ear, it really didn't help him. Perhaps these other creatures are used to it now, but this was his first time here. Plus the smoke machine was irritating his nose.
He looked down at himself when the other mentioned that he was overdressed. He then looked around the dance floor and it was true. Most guys here were shirtless. Even the guy in front of him. "Well...yeah." Why was this guy talking to him? He was nothing special. "I don't think I'll take my shirt off. I don't wanna lose it." He barely had that many shirts as it was.
"Like private booths but they are rooms?" It sort of made sense. not everyone would want to dance. Some people probably came here to get drunk. Find a mate for the night or do some dodgy business. "It's my first time here too!" He called out, not realizing that he was basically shouting as the music felt like it was getting louder to him. "A room would be great if it gets me outta this noise." He found his hands slowly start to come up to his ears to cover them a little.

it was almost charming how the younger man with him seemed to struggle with the idea that he might be attractive. that even as overdressed as he was that he might be that enticing for someone, anyone, to want to approach and talk too. "would calling you magnetizing be enough of a reason for myself?" wyne teased, an easy smile now seemingly permanently plastered on his lips as he kept himself leaned forward so the other could hear him.
he enjoyed the breach of personal space clubs and bars like this were known for. he enjoyed strangers hands on his body, shoulders bumping into him, people pushing as they passed and danced... but maybe that was because if he wanted to he could simply phase through it all. he couldn't though. in a strange twist, the uncaring half-ghost found himself furrowing his brows and reaching forward to catch the younger man's shoulders as he was pushed; staring after the stranger that had knocked into him as if he were rude for trying to pass by them. "you're fine. come on."

taking the other's hand, wyne held onto it tightly as he pulled him through the chaos. it was bound to overwhelm him as they marched through the belly of the beast but even as he dug their way through the dancefloor, he kept a sturdy hold on the boy's hand. guiding him through the noise until he'd finally reached the stairwell. leading them up to the second floor, he passed by one of the security officers and went through the process of buying a room for the two of them as quickly as he could; his right hand still not dropping from holding onto the other.
when they were finally in a lush, private room the music faded to a dull thud as the door shut behind them; sealing them away in borrowed privacy. "sorry," wyne mumbled as he gave the other's hand a light squeeze before finally letting it go, "i had to drag you through the thick of it just to get away from all the noise but at least, in here, we can hear ourselves think..."
"you really are out of your element down there, aren't you?" the half-ghost questioned with a mix of teasing curiosity and a hint of care. it was certainly more quiet and they didn't have to worry about people bumping into them or making them feel cramped but with the bowl of condoms, bottles of lube, and toys laid out on a table beside the plush king size bed in the center of the room and the dim, moody lighting the half-ghost wasn't sure how much better this would be for the younger man. "this is... better?"

"Oh...both? I'm clearly wearing more than most here!" Looking around the dance floor and most, if not all were shirtless or wearing something that showed off more than meets the eye. Harness, little booty shorts, you name it. "And...yeah, I just walked in. Why would anyone wanna talk to me?" They didn't know him. This guy certainly didn't look familiar to him.
The beating of the music felt like it was getting louder causing the werewolf more discomfort. "What are they....?"Though he cut himself off as someone bumped into him and he moved closer to Wyne. "Sorry." He whined out as he turned his head to lowly growl at the one that bumped him.
Ali turned his head back to the other and seen his hand holding out to him. He nodded his head as he took the other's hand in his. "Please. The music's getting louder. Take me somewhere quite."

"you're hearing is better than most?" wyne repeated back with a soft smile stuck on his lips. "i noticed, though it probably wasn't any fun for you with tonight's music. as good as it might have been for dancing, it still wasn't that good. certainly not anything i would want to listen to at an enhanced volume." as much as he had been enjoying himself down there, in the thick of the chaos, the half-ghost had to admit this was nice too. it might have even been more enjoyable. now he could talk to the man that had clearly mesmerized him without having to scream at him or without having to worry about someone drunkenly interrupting them.
"i'm starting to think they didn't actually intend for people to use these rooms for talking." wyne mused as he turned his attention back to all the different toys and treats set out for them to help themselves too. "subtly is certainly not their strong suit." he joked as he lifted up a massive, comically too long dildo and shook it in his hand for a second, chuckling to himself at the way it flopped around, before placing it back down and turning around to face the younger man with him again.

"hang on a second." wyne didn't give him much time to respond or even register that he had said something. within an instant, he sank through the floor and vanished from the room. lowering himself down to the first floor, he used his intangibility to his advantage as a short cut; making his way to one of the bars in a matter of seconds so he could order a couple bottles of champagne, and a bottle of tequila for the hell of it.
a minute or two after he'd left, his head was popping up back through the floor as he lifted himself up; the drinks in his bare arms as he levitated in the middle of the room for a second before settling to land. "i figured drinks might help? or we could just talk about random things. i don't mind, either way i still managed to get the best looking man here into a private room so i'm happy regardless." he flirted.

"I really don't see it. There are clearly more...fitter guys here that are clearly pining for your attention." It was clear the other was certainly getting all the looks from the guy sin the bar. He may be half blind, but he could easily see a bunch pointing in Wyne's direction. If anyone was pointing at him, he didn't see it.
With Wyne's hand taking his and helping him though the crowd, he was certainly thinking how he was going to kill his next door neighbour in the chateau for dragging him here. Next time he went out, it would be to some pub that was quite. He kept one hand on his other ear, as he didn't care if he was pushing into people as they went upstairs.
He briefly watched as Wyne paid for their room and the next he knew they were inside the room. As soon as the door stopped, the music became much more of a dull noise in the background. His hand came down from his ear as he sighed. "Much better." He looked to Wyne, then to the ground. "Thanks...I guess." He sighed again. "I have...well...my hearing is much more better than most." He wasn't exactly going to tell this stranger what he was. Sure, this town was supposed to be safe from hunters and all but he still didn't feel safe to do so. Not yet.
It was then that he began to see more of the room. The bed. The condoms. The array of sex toys. Lube. This really caught him off guard. He really thought these private rooms were just a table and chairs. Not this. Though, the sight of it gave the werewolf a weird feeling. "I...it's quieter so...yeah."
