castlevania castlevania games fuck konami silent hill metal gear series Konami has sadly been a shitty company for decades long story short there’s a reason why IGA is making games not under Konami now they also tried to copyright the term Visual Novel despite not being the creators of that everything they did to Silent Hill was so so so incredibly fucked up holy hell I will never not be mad about that I’ve never played a silent hill game myself but I understand its place in horror history and obviously Konami does not but yeah even in the NES days Konami was shitty like this especially with demoting people Hitoshi Akamatsu (director of the first three Castlevania games) and his team do not get talked about nearly enough basically after the first game sold well they tried experimenting with the second and it didn’t sell as much as the one before it so they went back to formula with the third and that one didn’t sell as much as the first one but the thing is is those games were still selling WELL and they fucking demoted the guy and presumably other team members to arcade duty so obviously the guy being treated like that left the company and it’s not known what happened to him after that but yeah Konami has been demoting and treating their lead developers like shit for as long as theyve been a company I fucking hate Konami for that so fucking much oh god and the fucking Castlevania NFTs for the series fucking 30th or whatever anniversary oh my god that felt like such an insult they could’ve made a ‘wow happy birthday game’ post and it would’ve been a better celebration of the series AND THE FUCKING NETFLIXVANIA CHARACTERS GETTING NENDOROIDS BEFORE THE GAMES IM GONNA THROW UP I do not claim Netflixvania as a Castlevania property it doesn’t exist <3 absolutely insane that that barely related vampire schlock gets praise merch and attention over the games it’s pretending to be based on Konami loves to pretend the games don’t exist anymore too especially with how low quality things like Grimoire of Souls have been it’s fucking infuriating all of it they either have no idea what they have or they simply just don’t care text post reblogs
