That Map Is Huge Why Are There No Tiny Law Outposts With At Least One Officer? - Tumblr Posts
I 100% agree, and would like to expand that some of these adults I question.
Obviously it's part of the game mechanic for quests but like... what sort of adult tells a child of a bounty for a well-known criminal without the added note of "but you, child, do not go and pursue them"? Or how a shipment of chomping cabbages was stolen and they need help but not adding "Oh we've already reported this and just waiting for it to be handled, do not go child." Or the lady who'd really bungled on troll security.
Also... is Officer Singer the only law enforcement of the region...? Pretty sure Padraic Haggarty - the Irondale side quest vendor - mentions her by name (and does say that she should be handling something like this so, at least he has common sense there. Somewhat.) and nobody else. We see no other uniformed officers; even with the troll incident the people that help are the couple that are cursebreakers and security guards at Gringotts.
Because if that's the case, and she is the literal ONLY law enforcement in uniform to handle the entire Hogwarts Legacy map, combined with probably some sort of Ministry corruption and letting all these criminals run amok... she is way overworked, overstretched and (probably) underpaid.
Maybe this is just me... but I feel so annoyed and angry whenever villagers, teachers, and students (save for Sebastian, Ominis, Natty, Poppy, and Amit) tell the MC that they "are all grateful and amazed that we got rid of Ranrok/Rookwood/Harlow."
It especially grates on my nerves when an adult says this. Because it's not our damn job to save the Wizarding World! The only sensible adult was Nurse Blainey!

I wanna take this opportunity to give the biggest SCREW YOU to Officer Singer. 🙂👊💥 She even got decked at the Haunted Hogsmeade quest! Either she's corrupt, or she's clearly the outlier that miraculously passed the officer training test because she's as useful as a bag of sugar quills.
