Part of 3-2 that I think about but never see talked about enough is this line.
He's being blatantly dehumanized and reduced to an it. In one step he's gone from God's brightest to something on par with a machine.
He's only referred to as This One. Not even his name or title, just another way for the council to get what it wants. A tool. And this treatment is treated as harrowing, one that would make anyone less willful blind from the pain.
Then here fucks me up so bad. Seeing himself as a weapon, as a thing. An object. Yet now it's not demeaning or meant to dehumanize him. It's the only autonomous choice he's had in the entire game, this one choice where he could have claimed himself as a person, as something more.
Yet he didn't. He embraced it. He calls himself a weapon, he doesn't refute a second of it. He is an object that will hold itself up, will bend to his own will, and will do as he pleases. He is an object but he is his own master.
