look i’m not catholic but i feel like we just don’t talk about mary mother of god enough. cause everyone talks about how jesus is gods son and how god sent him down so he would sacrifice himself for humanity and he was The Martyr and really noble and that’s all true but like. he was mary’s son too. mary lost her son. she lost her baby boy. and he was never really hers but he was put on earth for all of us. imagine being a young mother, holding your baby in your arms knowing that he’s destined to die and knowing that you can carry him and hold him but you can’t keep him. was our lady of sorrows the first to ask “can you lose it if it was never yours in the first place?”
