After a decade of dreaming of hearing 1989 in New York and now being in New York for 1989 tv I am so dissaapointeddd that I have a midsem tomorrow.

All the surprise abt the 1989 tv vault is reminding of when I used to see “jokes” like about Taylor’s dating in life and my only conclusion was- respect.
I have immense respect for how courages Taylor is for always putting herself out there and wearing her heart on her sleeve regardless of how many times she had her heart broken and shredded to pieces. It takes immense courage to want to give your heart to someone especially since her life and her pain is so publicised.
The line in anti-hero “did you hear my covert narcissism I disguise as altruism” is basically her describing Dear Reader in a way. The altruism being the first two verses where she’s advising the “reader” and the bridge being the the “covert narcissism” where she explains how she is essentially just pleading for help
When I manifested vibing to all too well in New York during fall I actually didn’t mean I want to relate to the lyrics but here we are…
