This makes me so sad and also I'm trying to remember if any of the Discworld books dealt with late stage capitalism

well theres still owning property vs rent im wondering how this applies to like nice furniture (actual wood the kind of thing you can pass on to grandchildren) and fancy clothes made of idk natural fibers instead of plastic or shoes! although i dont know anything about shoes but yes with tech stuff OOF discworld the vimes boot theory of socioeconomic unfairness
