it's in zak brown's best interest to make it seem like daniel is suddenly washed.

literally everyone knows that daniel has an excellent track record. at red bull he held his own against a four time world champion and a future world champion. he finished ahead of seb in 2014, and max only finished ahead of him ONCE (2018).

at red bull he was 3rd in the championship TWICE.

at renault, he finished 5 places ahead of nico & 7 places ahead of este. he came 5th in the 2020 drivers championship in the 5th fastest car, only 6 points behind checo in 4th.

then came mclaren.

so yeah, zak has GOT to make out that daniel is washed... because the alternative is that it's not daniel at all. it's the car and the team.

and if that's the case, what respected driver would EVER want to leave their team to drive for them?
