A few minutes passed, suddenly there was a clanking as the trash can was knocked over, followed by a noisy scrapings.
The Lythcol mechanic had been taking out the trash from the day’s work in his small workshop. He paused & looked around, wondering where the howling was coming from. He shrugged & went about his business.
As he stepped out to investigate, the mechanic is liable to see a very bent-up trash can, garbage strew all over the nearby area. But near the wall of the house several feet away, something very big was moving in the shadows, followed by the sounds of garbage clattering and... something that was eating.
Arron was back inside the house when he heard the trash can topple over. He groaned & grabbed a flashlight & a wrench. He thought that a forest animal had decided to make his trash their breakfast & was going to go scare it off. The young man stepped outside to see what was going on.
The light of the flashlight slowly passed over the shadowy shape to reveal... an opossum. It looks like the poor guy got it's head stuck in the trash bag and was squirming around trying to get free.
The young man shined his light over the trash can. “O-Okay… wh-what are you doing in there?” he asked. He was very annoyed at the culprit.
As Arron returned inside, there's the sound of something glass breaking in the kitchen, as well as some unsavory and definitely not-opossum sounds...
His eye visibly twitched as he walked over & cut open the bag with a pocket knife, making the hole wider. He then backed away. Arron sighed & started to head back inside. He would clean up the mess in the morning.
As he drew near the kitchen, the mechanic would see the back of a very large werehog with his head inside the kitchen cupboards, eating everything inside, boxes and all, the cupboard doors dangling as they were nearly torn off. The fridge seems to have already shared in this fate, completely ajar and void of food.
The noise made the Lythcol mechanic’s hair on the back of his neck stand up. He slowly entered the house, brandishing only a wrench & a pocket knife. "…Wh-Who’s there..?" he called out to the hopefully empty house.
The werehog's giant muzzle pushed a glass can of something out of the cupboard and it fell and broke with a loud smash, startling the monster as he jumped back, then sniffed at the broken glass and attempted to lick the contents that had spilled on the floor. Not his smartest idea, as he flinched at poking his tongue and then growled at the glass angrily.
Arron dropped the wrench & knife. His mouth was agape. “Oh-Oh stars…” he whispered, hoping that the werehog would not see him.
It was then that Monster finally noticed Arron, and growled menacingly as he took a step towards him on all fours... Only to have completely forgotten about the broken glass and get a handful of it. The werehog hissed and retreated to the back of the kitchen, seething at the pain.
"…S-Sonic..?" he said quietly. Arron did not want to attacked in his own home & once the night was over, he was definitely making his friend clean up the mess & replace the food. He did not know what to do in the situation he was in.
As Arron walked over, the monster clutched his injured hand to his chest and snarled warningly at the mechanic.
Arron quietly walked over. “It-It’s okay… L-Let’s get rid of th-the glass & I-I’ll clean u-up your p-paw…” he said trembling. He had run-ins with the moon-crazed werehog before, barely living to tell the tale.
While the mechanic was cleaning up, Monster attempted to pull some of the glass free from his hand with his mouth, but ended up poking his tongue again and hissing. When Arron sat down, though, he stopped his attempts and watched him warily, leaning in slightly and staring for a good solid minute. He then began to sniff at the ground in from of Arron, though his ears were still on alert for any change in the mechanic's behavior.
He first cleaned up the mess to avoid his friend injuring himself more. Arron then simply sat on the floor, avoiding eye contact with the werehog.
✿ It is a metal flower.

What a pretty gesture! The mechanic sure knows how to do nice metalwork.
"H-Hey, you're small— c-climb up there f-f-for me." said Arron as he pointed to a small cabinet that even he could not reach.
Monster looked up at the cabinet, then over- but still up- at his tall mechanic friend. He folded his arms indignantly and looked down and mumbled “Everyone’s small compared to you…”
Monster flinched as he was picked up. "H-hey! I'm not a kid!" He looked down and yelled at Arron, but now that we was in their air there wasn't any coming down until he helped him out. "...I don't even know what you're looking for."

There was a smirk as Monster shuffled things around in search of the toolbox. "Eh, hiding it up high wasn't that smart. Should have hid it somewhere lower that your giant-ness wouldn't notice~" Monster could see the toolbox in the back corner of the cabinet now. "This the one I eloped with~?"

Monster put his arm as far as he could as he reached for the toolbox. "Heh, see, maybe Prince didn't put it here, maybe it was searching for its true love~!" His claws touched the edge of the box and he slowly moved it enough to get a good grip on it before pulling out and hugging it to his chest. "Don't worry my precious, we're reunited again!"

There were also only very few times when Monster truly feared his tall mechanic friend. This was one of them. Now clutching the toolbox out of fright than humor, he got his bearings when he was placed back on the ground and held out the box to Arron. This was probably payback for some full moon, he thought.

"......." Monster swallowed and looked over at the mechanic, oh the poor timing. "...I, uh, like steak tartare?" Monster then quickly mumbled, "I think that's what it's called..."
About that time, a certain mechanic walked in the door to see this strange act. "…Sh-Shouldn’t… shouldn’t y-you c-cook th-that first..?" asked Arron.
Monster sighed in relief, hoping he bought the excuse for the moment.
...He then looked at the steaks all in a little pile. "I... I actually don't know. To tell you the truth I don't even remember buying them..."
"Oh…" he mumbled, “Okay..?”
Arron was used to his meat being cooked. The mechanic enjoyed a good juicy steak just like any meat eating person. He wondered why the werehog had so many steaks though.
“…H-How many of those d-do you have..?” he asked.
