Y/n and Theo were just sitting around her room after school got out. They were suppose to be studying but of course like Y/n thought when Theo suggested the idea, he wouldn’t last long.

“Theo” Y/n mumbled under her breath trying to focus as he climbed up on the bed to sit behind her.

“Hmmm” Theo hummed in acknowledgment

“Please” Y/n giggled as Theo started to nip at her neck playfully.

“Please what? Cause’ please’ could be the start of something or the end of something else.” Theo asked against her neck. He knew that he was distracting her. That’s his goal.

Y/n sighed reluctantly “As much as I hate to say this, but the second option.”

Theo huffed, not mad but he did hope it would’ve been easy to get her to stop studying. “Awww, come on.”

“Theo we have a big chemistry quiz tomorrow and I need to study.”She smiled at him disappointed that they couldn’t continue on with what he was trying to start.

“We have chemistry. Study us.” Theo tryed one last time. Although he couldn’t help but laugh at what he said.

“Theo! You should be studying to.” Y/n laughed shaking her head. He could be so cheesy sometimes. But in all honesty, she loves it. Proves he’s changed.

Theo smirked moving down to kiss her shoulder, moving her shirt off her shoulder a little. “I am. I’m studying you.”

Y/n let out a breath before an idea came into her head. One that she knew Theo might go for. “If you study, and I mean actually study. I’ll give you an award.”

Theo hummed at the thought of her giving him an award. “Hmmm, what kind of award.” He asked lifting his head up from her shoulder to look at her and not be distracted.

“Your favorite kind.” Y/n smiled mischievously turning to look at him properly on the bed.

Theo smiled “and there’s the motivation.” He got up and walked over to his spot on the floor and picked up his textbook and notebook.

“An if you get a good grade on this quiz we can try that thing you’ve bee wanting to try for a while now.” Y/n added, smirking to herself when she heard him drop his pen in shock.

“Oh, you are so on.” Theo nodded determined now more than ever to get a good grade in school.

“Are you still tired? Here l;ean against me.” Theo offered his arms wide open for her to lean into him.

“I shouldn’t.” Y/n shook her head looking away from him.

“Why not?” Theo furrowed his brow.

“I’m afraid.” She mumbled looking down at her lap.

There was silence for a while and during that time Theo was thinking about why Y/n might be afraid to sleep, and then it hit him.

“That I’ll disappear again?” Even though it was meant as a question it came out as a statement.

“Hmmmhmm.” Y/n scooting closer to him, she will look at him, she didn’t feel brave enough to.

“I’m right here. I won’t leave you.” Theo spoke softly to her while putting Y/n into him, wrapping her up tightly in his embrace.

“It might not be your choice.” Y/n said out loud but quite enough that if he wasn’t supernatural he wouldn’t have heard it. She finally looked up at him after she spoke.

Y/n was afraid if she closed her eyes Theo would be taken from her. Again. Even if the last time was because Theo told her to close her eyes she wouldn’t have to see him dragged to Hell it still scared her.

Theo eyed her for a moment and he could tell she was really tired so he asked. “When was the last time you slept?”

Y/n looked away with a shrug. “I don’t know.”

Even though Y/n did know he could tell she was lying.

“I can hear your heartbeat, I know you're lying.” Theo pulled back enough to look at her face.

“A week okay.” Y/n sighed, half annoyed and half embarrassed to admit how long it truly had been.

“Y/n -” Theo went to scold her but then he thought on how exactly long a week has been. “You haven’t slept since I came back?”

Y/n looked back at him with tears in her eyes.

“I’m afraid if I do when I open my eyes you’ll be gone.” She admitted in a small voice.

Theo could understand where her fears were coming from. But it hurt him to see her like this. “Please sleep. I’ll be here when you wake up. But you need sleep. Please Y/n/n.”

Theo reasoned Y/n pulling her to lay against him hoping his heartbeat would luol her to sleep. And it did. It worked. Theo vowed to himself that night as she slept in his arms that he was going to do everything in his power to never be taken from her again.
