It’s been an emotional week. I wanted to share this encounter I had with a very hateful man on the Pittsburgh bus because it reminds me that there are brave people in this world. Let’s all do everything we can to stand up for each other.

that i used to resent my family for not connecting me to my heritage while raising me
then i relized why my grandparents didnt teach my father all og their language
and why my father didnt try to teach me a few words
this was why
becuase as long as people dont know my family name im safe from this kind of hate
and it is so tragic to me that they were kind of right in doing so
