I gotta say, you all have Nico and Hazel’s personalities switched. Canon Nico is incredibly sweet and respectful, doesn’t swear, is quiet and reserved, and really has a caretaker personality like we see when he talks to Hestia and Bob. And this is because Bianca has been his source of morality and worldview, who we know was a protective and gentle big sister.
Hazel, on the other hand, was ready to fight Jason Grace, a person she both respect and was her superior, after he suggested they couldn’t trust Nico, almost told Octavian to his face to shove his dagger up his ass, swears all the time, and can be hotheaded and angry like we see with Hecate. Hazel hung out with commercial fishermen in Alaska, she must have learned every cuss word in the book. And even before that she cussed out the nuns at her school.
Nico is the gentle and sweet child of the underworld y’all are looking for, not Hazel.
