I actually feel this so much, theres such a dramatic switch in sides in this fandom, and it's horrifying to end up on the wrong side, which is where I started, and it made me almost want to leave the fandom altogether.

Thank god I'm a part of the better side now, I've found some great people here.

It's really hard to find decent people in the RDR fandom.

I know it's one of the best-selling games of recent times, and that makes its fandom HUGE, but since it's a video game, it's full of either kids who love being edgy or male gamers who love making the community uncomfortable for women, lgbt people etc

And it's even worse in the latinamerican RDR TikTok, oh my godddd the other day I commented on an edit "John Marston tkm" (John Marston ilysm) AND SOME DUDE RESPONDED TO MY COMMENT "señorita, le sugiero no jugar al rdr1🗿" (Lady, I suggest you not play RDR1) MOTHERFUCKER I KNOWWW WHY DO THEY TREAT ME LIKE I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING OF THE LORE ALSO HE CALLED ME SEÑORITA!?!?!?! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I also commented on another video something like "I could talk for HOURS about RDR theories" and some guy responded, "I need a girl like you." STAY AWAY FROM ME [GUNSHOT]

The ONLY time I came across a girl from my country on TikTok (who was cosplaying as John Marston), I got super excited, but when I checked her profile she was a pick-me anti-feminist girl who made fun of women 🧍‍♀️...🚶‍♀️‍➡️

Thankfully, I found cool people on tumblr lmao
