So here’s something I don’t think people talk about enough

Look at the face-plugs Queen’s got there, presumably the same kind that’s currently plugged in to Berdly’s face!!! THEY HAVE VISIBLE PRONGS. Hey, uh, anyone else think that should really actually hurt him???

So I posit you all this:

Pacifist/Neutral AU where Berdly is rendered blind as a result of the control plug.

But of course, Berdly being Berdly, he probably tries to pretend at first like nothing’s wrong, his vision will come back in a second, he’s just disoriented from being mind-controlled. Puts up that false bravado against Queen, and once she retreats, that’s when he admits it.

And of course, upon waking up in the Light World…

“H-hey, who turned the lights out?”

“Uh… nobody. The lights are on.”

“Then… then why can’t I… Noelle…? Susie…? Kris? I can’t see anything.”
