summary. dokyeom wants to know why you weren’t giving him any kisses lately

seokmin knew something was on your mind. and it has been for a while now.

at first he didn’t notice, then it didn’t bother him that much.

sure, leaving without his goodbye kiss or coming back home and not getting his welcome kiss hurt his ego but maybe you needed some space?

“what’s wrong?” he asks once you’re in bed, brows furrowed. you snap out of it though, looking at him.

“huh? nothing’s wrong” you smile sweetly and dokyeom wonders how someone can look so ethereal.

“come on, i can clearly see there’s something bothering your pretty head” he greens cheekily and you just sigh, resting your cheek against your hand so your next words are muffled.

“nothing”

dokyeom grins and you swear the room just lit up.

then he sits next to you, almost crushing you, and tilts his head.

“come on, talk to me. you’ve been acting weird lately” he sighs but still smiles, which makes you even sadder.

“i know. i’m sorry” you put your hand down and look at him, thinking how to say out loud what worries you. you feel blood rushing to your cheeks because how embarrassing and stupid it is…

“baby” seokmin scoffs and shakes his head “you’re so cute but that won’t make me distracted”

“it’s just… dumb” you laugh and cover your face.

“i don’t care. and it’s probably not. come on, tell me. i won’t laugh if that’s what you’re worried about” he coos, gently grabbing your wrists and removing your hands from your face. then he grabs them, interlocking his fingers with yours.

“well… you remember that play? you recently took part in? xcalibur?”you mumbled, looking at him. seokmin nods, not sure what’s it about.

“yeah, obviously i remember that” he encourages you to continue talking. you take a deep breath and look down, at your (and his) hands.

“well that kissing scene… i know, i know we talked about it and i said it’s okay with me as long it’s okay with you. but—” you halt, biting your bottom lip. and dokyeom waits. he patiently waits for you to finish “forget it…”

“no, finish. please. i want to know what’s on your mind” he says gently, rubbing your hands with his thumbs.

“it’s… like… i was just thinking if you know… she’s–” you exhale deeply, next words barely audible “–better kisser than me…”

seokmin is actually surprised. shocked, even.

“that’s why you weren’t giving me kisses?” he pouts and quickly retreats upon seeing your sad expression “baby. i’m so, so glad you trust me. the fact that you said that the decision is up to me, not to you when it came to the kissing scene means a lot to me. if i knew it would be on your mind i–”

“no, min. it’s your career. it’s like… i would say you can’t do sexy dances because i’ll be jealous others can see this side of you” you scoffed and managed to look back at him “but i was just… wondering…”

“your kisses are angelic”

your eyes widen and you try to calm your racing heart even though it’s almost impossible.

“it was more of a peck than a kiss, anyways. but your kisses… they are really– i can’t really explain it but you make me feel like a dumb teenager. above all your kisses feel like home. that’s why i was kinda sad you didn’t kiss me lately but aish… i get it. you don’t have to worry about anything” seokmin explained gently, moving his hands to cup your burning cheeks “can i kiss you now?”

“yes, please” you whispered and he didn’t need to be told twice.
