So because the humans were at war and used nukes so most of humanity died and the survivor got infected by the radiation from the nukes and became these 'monsters'. The cats eventually mutant to have unnatural colors and powers. The main character is called Peppermint. He and his friend decided to go into the forest (the 'monsters' are unable to leave forests for some reason) to prove that they are just scary stories. Peppermint and his friends get attacked and only Peppermint survives. He, his sister (Mint) and one of his friend's brother (Sundrop) run off because they get an omen/prophecy thing that tells them that there's a way to get rid of the monsters forever. On the way they met Red and Raven who are friends, they decided to help them. Raven and Red ends up betraying them but Red decides to attack Raven and throws them off a cliff but Raven manages to survive because they land on a ledge. Mint get killed in the battle and her adopted kits run off and accidentally find Raven who decides to keep them. The sister of the two is fully loyal to Raven and his monsters but the brother has his doubts. Also Raven has fire powers and used to be named Crow. The brother gets killed in a fight by his sister but he comes back to as a zombie(???)-like cat.

would you like to hear me explain my story I made that's dystopian but the main characters are mutant cats and humanity is dead :)
