i think the worst experience i've had so far was the jojo fandom the toxic parts of the undertale fandom are a close second though the undertale fandom has dramatically calmed down since then i think so i wouldnt say undertale either anyway the reason i say the jjba fandom is mainly because of all the weird nsfw type shit like people would draw so much nsfw of underage characters with older characters. like it would be jotaro x dio type shit. DIO IS LIKE 100 AND IN PART 3 JOTARO IS 17. HE'S LITERALLY MY AGE RIGHT NOW..... WHAT there was also a lot of incest and shit and some people trying to justify why jerking it to two 15 year olds is okay because its anime pretty much any anime fandom i choose to distance myself from a bit because of this kind of stuff which is unfortunate cause there's so many talented people in those fandoms what else... there was also a lot of fetishisation of LGBTQ people especially in shipping often the gay ships played out more like straight couples and it was just really weird and icky. a lot of people feminised Kakyoin whenever he was shipped with Jotaro and like you can draw a character however you want but i dunno it was a bit weird seeing people trying to make them more straight in a way though in saying that a lot of JJBA characters dress pretty androgynously but still.... rubs me the wrong way as a fellow gayass myself on the other hand i saw a lot of people just generally being homophobic and transphobic despite the fact that Araki (JJBA's mangaka) is a supportive ally of the LGBTQ i also saw a lot of general toxicity and arguments over the dumbest things like people would unironically cuss you out for watching/reading the series in a particular order or choosing not to read the manga at all and it's like.... bro who cares there's a sort of what i like to call ''hivemind mentality'' for what parts are considered ''good'' and that you HAVE to like them otherwise they'll spam bullshit at you on reddit or something there was also a lot of people unironically defending a literal nazi in part 2 (Stroheim specifically) just because he happened to help Joseph and crew despite the fact that you are not supposed to look up to him because oh i dunno he's a NAZI...... just a lot of shallow arguing really. also seeing a bunch of overused jojokes got really annoying really quickly. not really harmful at all just irritating and the constant shitposts also had a lot of spoilers..... :( but in saying that the jojo fandom has so much cool art and music and just general awesome creations like the artists in the JJBA fandom are so cool what. how are you so talented and awesome it's mindblowing man!! i hear tumblr has some really cool JJBA stuff and that tier list video of all the badly translated stand names is still so fucking funny to me
