Person B: *pops in, all cheery* Hey! So, have you decided what we’re going to be doing today?

Person A: *shrugs* I’m not even sure what I want to do.

Person B: C’mon! It’s your birthday! We gotta do something! Anything you’d like! It’s your day after all. :3

Person A: I dunno…you know that nowadays, I just treat my birthday like a normal, not special day anymore after—

Person B: *sits on bed* Hey, I get it. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t not get be happy on your special day. You’re 21 now! And you’re my (best friend, partner, etc) I just want you to be happy and at least treat you to something fun today. Even if it’s a small thing like a trip to the mall, a movie, or some dinner.

Person A: Well….okay. Maybe a trip to the mall?

Person B: Alright! That’s the spirit! Ooh! But first, *puts hands behind back* I gotta give you your birthday present. :3

Person A: *tilts head* Is it…in your hands?
