"Did my ancestors send you to protect me?" The warrior softly questions.

Sybbie stepped into the room and hesitated, unsure how to begin. Her Da talked about her mother whenever Sybbie asked questions about her, but this question didn't seem like the kind to go to Da with.

Sitting on the edge of Aunt Mary's bed, Sybbie collected herself.

"I was born in this house right, Mama and Da were staying here when I was born?"

"Aunt Mary," Sybbie hovered on the threshold to her aunt's room, she loved visiting Downton, loved seeing her cousins and Donk and Granny Cora. But this visit felt different. Sybbie was the oldest, she was starting to understand grown up things. Things like death. "Can we talk?" (From Sybbie)

Mary's eyes flash upwards at Sybbie's unannounced request for entrance. "Yes, of course, darling. Sybbie." A honorific often given to the girl's beloved mother. Looking at her now, she could see phantoms of the Youngest Crawley resurrected in her and GOOD LORD, it gave her heart a terrible pang of that unquenchable grief. Pangs it got when only Matthew or Sybil were thought of. After all, most touted her as the most heartless of all the Crawleys. "Of course we can talk." She puts her mirror down upon her vanity. "Whatever is on your mind?" Though she is busy, she gifted her niece her undivided attention.

"Did you get thrown off?" Judging by her nervousness she probably had.

"No shame if you did. I've been thrown off more times than I can count and I've been riding since I could walk." Most people would be falling all over themselves because of who Mia was, but not Calvin.

Mia Thermopolis was just a person as far as he was concerned, a crown didn't change that.

"Come with me."

"You ever ridden a horse before?"

Inspection of the troops, God that sounded so foreign!

"The barn," Calvin said shrugging when she asked about him getting up on a horse everyday. His dad had taught him and Beth to ride, and he always said to get back on after they came out of the saddle.

"Don't really have a choice, horses are the best for driving cattle and getting to the more rural parts of the property, you said your horse reared up but you didn't come off? That's great, do you know what spooked Sandy?"

"No, not just a movie thing. Sometimes, the old ways are the best ways." Calvin smiled, opening the barn door for Mia.

"Horses are smart, but they are still animals. Do me a favor. The tack room is the first room on your left. Can you open the bin labeled sweet feed and get a full scoop of feed for me?"

Leanora is INFJ-T (I had to take the test for this)

Leanora lives in a kingdom rich in romance in tradition, to quote the movie, so no cars. She can ride a horse though!

Lea is very much a homebody, she enjoys life in the country the most.

Leanora does enjoy dancing, she also sings fairly well and she enjoys painting though she's not an amazing artist or anything.

Lea doesn't have any piercings, they aren't common in her kingdom. Especially not among high born ladies.

Astraea LOVES her city, so she's very much a homebody.

Astraea dabbles in art like her mother, but she enjoys dancing the most.

Astraea's ears are pierced, she's thought about getting her nose pierced but decided against it.

"But I did come to like him, told your mother he was a vast improvement as soon as we were alone. You're both headstrong in your convictions, even when their not popular."

Hopefulness is birthed in the private's eyes as she turns to her uncle. "Only one or two who knew him," she confides. "Is it-- is it actually true? H-- How am I like him?" She pauses. "Is it a good thing or a bad thing?"

18. A kiss while laughing

Michael had been waiting for this leave for months.

He'd managed to patch things up with Peggy after he was liberated from the POW camp he'd been in, and Peg had agreed to meet him at a pub in London after work, she'd even brought her American friend, Stephanie.

Michael had made pleasantries, and now he was a little drunk, maybe it was the liquid courage, maybe it was the lighting catching Stephanie's curls and giving her a halo, but Michael had never seen a more beautiful woman.

"May I have this dance?" Michael asked somehow managing to not trip over his words, or his feet when he lead Steph out on the floor.

As they swayed to the music, Michael couldn't tear his eyes away from her.

Stephanie laughed at something, and it sounded like music, Michael didn't even care if someone saw, hell, he didn't care if Peggy saw!

In a moment of reckless abandon, Michael Carter leaned in and stole a quick kiss from Stephanie's lips.

3. A kiss on the forehead

The stars out on the ridge were bright, Calvin had a tent already set up, ready for them to watch the meteor shower and enjoy their evening.

Doc was put up for the night, And Calvin came to sit next to Mia on the blanket he'd spread out for them.

"Here, I grabbed you another blanket." Calvin said draping the thick wool blanket around her shoulders, sneaking a quick kiss to Mia's forehead as he did so.

"Comfortable?"

Michael smiled, he needed a hair cut, preferably before he headed back to the front. But right now he was with Steph and he really didn't want to move.

"Penny for your thoughts, Darling?"

[ accidental ] sender and receiver reach for the same thing and their fingers brush unintentionally (Belle to Michael) @timeguardians

Michael didn't mind helping clean up after meals, though Belle tried to argue with him about it.

It was the least he could do, Belle had saved his life and nursed him back to health.

The agreement was Belle washed, Michael dried. They worked well together.

Michael reached for a plate, his fingers brushing Belle's and there it was a spark.

He blinked but didn't say anything, rescuing the wet plate before it fell out of her hands and shattered. Her reaction told him she'd felt it too.

"Are you alright, Mademoiselle?"

Michael smiled, Belle was shorter than him, so her cheek came to rest between his shoulders.

Reaching for her hands, Michael lifted her left hand and kissed her wedding band.

"Your father's off, and chores are finished for the day, want to go for a walk?"
