Wrench. 11th doctor.
Decided to scroll through my notes and found this gem of a prompt, how could I resist?

Prompt: "Is letting someone win at chess sapiosexual bottoming?" "Does anyone in this godforsaken group ever think before they speak?"
Enjoy- A.
A rare silence had fallen over the console room of the TARDIS.
After the last adventure, Amy and Rory decided to head to bed for awhile.
Which of course was fine, as you and the Doctor understood that humans needed much more rest than timelords.
They had gone to bed a few hours ago, but you and the Doctor remained under the console, working in the mess of wires together.
“Didn’t I tell you before that these needed to be cleaned up a bit!?” You groaned exasperated, as he fell from his sling of sorts after being shocked once again by two wires touching that definitely should not have touched.
He sighed, sitting up and looking towards you with a face of defeat.
His hair was sticking up all around, grease coated his face, and his goggles hung halfway off his head.
You let out a loud laugh before quickly turning away, trying desperately to choke down your laughter.
“Well I’m glad my pain is amusing to you.” He grumbled, standing and wiping his hands on his trousers.
“That’s enough for me today.” He said, taking off his goggles and throwing them across the room.
“You better pick those up.” You said, giving him a look.
He waved his hand in dismissal, “Eh, maybe later. I think i'll go check the TARDIS pantry for something to eat. I’m quite hungry.”
You nodded in understanding.
He offered you a hand, which you grabbed and stood from your seat. Taking your goggles off and stuffing them into your hammock of sorts.
“I think i'll take a shower, maybe pop down to the library.”
He nodded, his bright eyes shining as he smiled down at you.
You both turned, walking up the stairs to the doorway.
“Meet back here later?” He said, turning his head towards you, brown locks of hair falling across his elegant features.
You smiled, brushing them away and softly running your hand through his hair.
“Of course. You could always come join me in the library once you're finished.”
He grabbed your hand from his hair as you spoke, bringing your knuckles to his mouth, kissing them gently.
“Of course, anything for you."
You felt your face heat up involuntarily.
No matter how long you’d been with him, he always got you blushing like a school girl.
“Then, until later my love.” You leaned up, tenderly kissing his cheek before turning and walking down one of the many hallways to your room.
He stood for a moment, lost in thought with a dopey smile plastered across his face until you left his line of vision.
Before turning and heading the opposite way towards the kitchen.
Quite a few hours later, you found your eyes beginning to hurt from the strain of reading for so long.
You had a large stack of books set on the coffee table in-front of you, all ones you had read during that time.
You read a few more chapters before sitting up and stretching, feeling your back crack multiple times in varying places.
Sitting for a moment, you admired the fireplace before you.
The Tardis was kind enough to give you your own personalized section of the library.
A large brick fireplace, with small knick knacks from various planets lining the mantle, was set with two large loveseats.
A soft circular rug sat beneath them, one you loved to run your feet across when you were sat reading for hours on end.
On one side of the fireplace, was a beautiful alcove.
Large windows overlooking an artificial garden with rays of fabricated sun shining down were framed with light grey curtains.
Many days, if you felt you didn’t need to grasp for the warmth of the fire, you found yourself under a warm blanket, leaning against a soft pillow as you watched the simulated birds fly from one tree to the next.
As you sat, staring into the fire, you realized the doctor had never come to check on you.
‘He probably got distracted, or set the kitchen on fire.’ You thought to yourself, a blissful smile crossing your face at the mere thought of the man.
You figured you’d might as well finish the book you were reading, since you only had a chapter or two left.
Now, non-fiction books were definitely not your first choice, but after losing 7 games in a row to the Doctor you’d decided to do some reading on chess tactics.
After getting through a few more chapters, one of which depicted how to tell if someone was letting you win, a thought occurred to you. Which you just had to get an answer to.
Deciding to just head straight to the console room, assuming that Amy and Rory had probably woken up and decided they were ready for an adventure.
As you approached the doorway, you heard Amy and the Doctor’s muffled bickering.
“No! Not that one!”
“Well I don't know! You didn’t specify!”
You laughed quietly to yourself, she must be trying to help him repair something.
As you stood in the doorway, you saw Rory sitting in one of the flight chairs, watching Amy try to hand the Doctor something over the railing without dropping it on his head.
“Hey guys.” You spoke, announcing your presence as you descended down the stairs.
“Oh thank the stars your here! You can help your boyfriend now. He’s driving me insane.” Amy exclaimed, apparently forgetting she was holding a large wrench above the Doctors head. You heard a small clunk before hearing the doctor shout out in pain.
Amy turned towards you, eyes wide.
“Sorry.” She said quietly, sparing a glance down at the Doctor.
You walked towards the railing, looking down below.
“You okay?” You asked, looking down at the Doctor, who was now rubbing his head where you assumed the wrench had hit.
“Bloody brilliant.” He turned to look up at you, hand still holding his head.
You smiled down at the child of a man, who held a pout in distain.
He rubbed his head a moment more before turning back to his work.
“Let me just get this fixed, and we’ll be off. You know I heard of this planet where-“ He began his description, as per usual.
You straightened up and went to sit down on the floor beside the control panel, floors were always better to sit on.
You had decided that a long time ago after the whole, ‘bee fiasco.’ But that was a story for another time.
Amy, who now sat beside Rory on the flight chair, turned towards you.
“So, where’ve you been? You must’ve been doing something important if the Doctor would rather my help than interrupting you.”
You looked up from watching the Doctor through the clear flooring, a small smile on your face.
“Oh just reading in the library.”
She nodded wordlessly, before turning to observe the Doctor as-well.
Silence fell for a moment, before you spoke up, suddenly remembering your question.
“Do you think letting someone win at chess counts as sapiosexual bottoming?”
Amy turned to you, eyes wide, before Rory spoke up in exhaustion.
“Does anyone in this godforsaken group ever think before they speak?”
You laughed loudly before turning to see the Doctor walking up the stairs towards the console.
He headed over to you, looking down at you from where you sat, leaning against the console.
“What would make you ask that?” He asked, genuine curiosity in his voice.
“I don't know, I was reading a chess book so I could win a game-“ you spoke, as you stood up to lean against the console next to him, “-against you but in one of the chapters it spoke about letting you know if someone was allowing you to win a game, one thing led to another and well, got curious I suppose. Anyways- where are we off to today?”
You turned to look at the Doctor, an amused smile on his face.
“You were reading a book on chess, so you could beat me?” He asked smugly.
“Excuse me, are we just gonna ignore the fact that they just asked about sapiosexual bottoming???”
Seven Year Ache- 10th doctor x timelord! reader
Decided to write this using one of my favorite songs. I hope you love it as much as I do. <3 -A
You act like you were just born tonight
Face down in a memory but feeling all right
So, who does your past belong to today?
Baby, you don't say nothing when you're feeling this way.
The Doctor stood in silence once again, as he always did around this time.
It took everything in you not to walk over and beg him to tell you where his minds eye had taken him, what it was that made him so somber so suddenly.
But you knew it wasn’t your place to ask.
Sure you had known him for a few decades now, but that didn’t mean he was obliged to tell you everything.
Instead you watched as he stared downwards, mindlessly fiddling with a spinning component of the Tardis console.
You sometimes wondered if he felt like he was drowning, facedown in a memory, struggling to get out.
Still, you stood. Watching silently, until he let in a loud sigh and turned to wonder down the Tardis hallways.
Girls in the bars thinking who is this guy?
But they don't think nothing when they're telling you lies.
You look so careless when they're shooting that bull.
Don't you know heartaches are heroes when their pockets are full?
You sat at the bar, sipping an alien cocktail.
Watching across the room, you saw the Doctor, oh sweet, sweet innocent doctor, playing a game of pool with some scantily dressed alien women.
You watched as they made overly exaggerated moves to only touch the doctors chest, or his hand, or arm, or-
You watched as one women roughly tugged on his arm, causing him to miss the shot he had lined up. He turned to face her as she began to bat her eyelashes and speak softly. His eyes widened, whatever she told him must have been quite interesting. She led him to a small sofa, lightly pushing him to sit as she sat VERY, closely beside him. Her hand resting on his thigh suggestively. He, of course, noticed none of this. Too intrigued by whatever apparent lies she was feeding him.
He suddenly leant back, and laughed loudly. Placing a hand to her shoulder in a friendly manner. You felt a sting in your hearts. Why couldn’t that be you?
And everybody's talking but you don't hear a thing
You're still uptown on your downhill swing
The boulevard's empty, why don't you come around?
Baby, what is so great about sleeping downtown?
You stood dressed in pompous victorian fashioned clothing, watching the people scurry to and fro. You looked around, trying to find the doctor in the large crowd of bustling people.
Holding your drink closely, you began to push through the large obnoxious crowd looking for any sign of your Doctor.
Across the grand ballroom, you saw him standing, talking with the heiress. One of his hands shoved in his suit pocket, seemly searching for something. You watched as he pulled out a small trinket of some sort, showing it off proudly, as the small crowd around him stood and watched in awe. You remembered when he used to be that excited to show you something, telling you to wait as he frantically searched for the item, before proudly showing it to you. Eyes full of what you thought to be love, you now considered that notion foolish.
Many hours after the party had concluded, the bad guy aliens stopped, and the band headed home, you walked out alone to the Tardis. She had parked herself by an old bookstore, a few blocks from the grand ballroom. You solemnly strolled down the empty cobblestone streets, hearing nothing other than the quiet clicking of your shoes.
The doctor had wanted to stay to speak with a few guests, of course you had said it was fine. But now, as you walked alone, down foggy silent streets, your dress torn and in some places blood decored, you almost wished you had spoken your distain.
You remember when he used to be so worried about you, fussing over even the smallest paper cut. Maybe it was selfish, but you just wanted to feel that love you thought you once had.
As you approached the Tardis, your hand reaching for the door, you heard her quiet murmur of concern.
“Don’t worry about me. I'll be okay.”
There's plenty of dives to be someone you're not
Just say you're looking for something you might have forgot
He stood by the two flight captains, his hands racing across the control keys.
You stood across the room, watching quietly as he told stories of the many ships he had piloted, and how he considered himself to be quite experienced.
Your friend Captain Jack Harkness, walked in your direction.
Standing beside you he turned his eyes towards the doctor, before he spoke quietly.
“I know that look, what is it?”
You shook your head, donning a small smile.
“Nothing J. Im fine.”
He looked down, his expression going unnoticed to your distant eyes.
“Now you and I both know thats not true. You have to say something. If you don't, the issue might never be resolved.”
You turned to look at him, only to see he was gone.
Don't bother calling to say you're leaving alone
'Cause there's a fool on every corner when you're trying to get home
You couldn’t do it anymore. You couldn’t sit and watch him laugh and talk to all those women. You knew he was just being friendly, but you thought after your conversation he’d understand.
You had taken Jack's advice, and told the Doctor how you felt. That you felt alone and neglected. He had frowned and pulled you into a hug, apologizing and wanting to make it up to you.
He had taken you to the planet of love.
Ironic.
You knew he meant well, and you did love the pink and purple clouds.
Not to mention, the pink tinted rays of sun that coated the bright pastel world below.
But as you watched the women who were native to this planet, their hair flowing down past their ankles effortlessly, their dresses flowing gracefully, despite there being no wind near, and their glowing complexion and bright eyes, you felt inferior.
Sure, timelord women held a beauty of their own, but having possessed this for many years, it felt small and unimportant to these ethereal women.
Tell me you're trying to cure a seven-year ache
See what else your old heart can take.
He stood, regret cascading from him in waterfalls as he read the note you had left.
After speaking to the native women of the planet, he had the perfect first date idea, that is, if you shared his feelings.
But now, it was all deemed pointless.
Looking down once more at the already tear stained page, he realized just how foolish he had been.
So determined he was, to be as impressive and as desirable as he could, it had only ruined it all.
You had left nothing but a note, stuck to the console with a small patch of tape.
Explaining that you just couldn’t stay. Seeing him with other women made you realize just how stupid your hope of your feelings returned were. You knew he deserved better than what you could offer, and you couldn’t bare the thought of holding him back from what he was seeking.
He of course, knew it all was in vain. He had loved and adored you since he’d first seen you, wanting nothing more than to call you his. But his childish fear had let him lose you.
A sudden determination set across his features as he threw the paper to the ground, and began running around the console. Flipping switches and turning knobs.
He was going to get you back, and he was going to tell you everything he hadn’t before.

Hello lovelys! This is an old draft I found in the depths of my computer files. Honestly forgot writing it.
As always, feedback is heavily appreciated as I love to hear your ideas and suggestions!
Warnings: Angst (happy ending), and mentions of blood.
Enjoy- A

Time. It’s a funny thing really.
It all seems relative. if you're standing there, in your room somewhere on earth, there’s someone on the other side of the planet who may be doing the exact same thing but at a different time.
You’d never really been a fan of clock changes, they messed your schedule up.
The only time this was exempted, was when it gave you an extra hour of sleep.
You loved having extra time to sleep.
But now, as you lay blood sodden on the hard cobblestone walk, clothing draped in a sheer blanket of crimson, you wished you’d have more time for a different reason.
You knew she was busy, your space girl, and you knew if she found out you’d tried to send the aliens off on your own, she’d have a proper tantrum.
Laying helplessly in your own puddle of decorable pain really made you think about your life.
Where you went right, and of course where you went wrong.
One of those times being when you’d sent your starlight away.
It had been after an especially rough trip, where you had made the unrightable decision to risk your life to save a small alien child who was stuck under fallen debris.
Your space girl had been truly angry at you.
And you refused to hear it.
“And what? I was supposed to leave that child to die alone?! Without their parents!?!” Your face burned from the anger that raged within.
“You could have gotten yourself killed.” Your star leaned against the control panel of her ship breathing heavily.
“COULD. I COULD have. But I didn’t. And I saved them.” You looked to her, silently awaiting her response.
“I don’t care. I refuse to lose you. I can’t be alone again.”
You laughed sarcastically.
“Oh so that’s why. Ah, I see.” You looked at her, eyes raging with the fire of a thousand flames.
“It’s your own selfishness. You would let a child die, so you don’t have to feel pain?!”
Her head spun towards you.
“Dont. You. Dare. I have seen stars burn from my hands, civilizations fall under MY decisions, and here you are. Trying to tell me what I know. You haven’t seen the worst of it.” She leaned back, closing her eyes.
“How dare you.” Your voice low in hurt and unbelieving anger.
“How dare you speak to me like I wasn’t there, watching as my home and my family BURNED. Watching my loved ones crumble, being tossed in a ship as I watched my parents die, landing on a planet thousands of lightyears away, having no idea where I was and being forced to claw tooth and nail to make anything of myself. So don’t you DARE. Sit there and tell me how hard your life is,” you walked up to her and stared into her deep hazel eyes, “when I’ve seen it all too.” You let out a gust of air in defeat and felt a tear slide down your cheek, betraying your anger. You took a shallow breath before you turned and walked down the long hallways of the TARDIS.
You heard her trying to follow, before the TARDIS led her astray, letting you walk to your room in peace.
You sat down on your bed and whimpered lightly, trying to withhold the emotions that threatened to destroy you. You heard soft music being to play, and the lights dimmed as the TARDIS projected your favorite galaxy onto the ceiling.
"Thanks lovely.” She hummed in response and you leaned back to place your hand against the wall.
She hummed again and you smiled in return, laying back down against the bed frame and looking to the stars above you.
You weren’t sure how long you’d been sleeping, but you were suddenly jolted awaked by your room door being slammed open.
“I think you should go.” You squinted your eyes to see your star in the door way, her face blotchy and her clothes wrinkled.
“What-?” You said barely above a whisper.
“I think-“ her voice broke, “I think you should go. For a little while. Just so we can have some time….apart.”
You felt your soul cry at her words, but you didn’t say anything, you couldn’t.
So, you stood, grabbing your phone from your bedside table and silently walked out the door past her.
As you walked towards the console room, the TARDIS began beeping and humming loudly, seemingly very upset at the sight of you leaving. Yet, she didn’t stop you. She respected you enough to not interfere. You walked into the console room and to the door, opening it you saw you were in your flat, just as you had left it. You turned and looked up to the ceiling of the TARDIS.
“I know my beauty, but you have to.” You turned to the door and touched it lightly.
“Just.. make sure she comes back when she needs to, okay?” The console lit up and you could hear a small hum in acknowledgement.
You walked out fully, and closed the door behind you.
“Now go, and keep my star girl safe.” You pressed your head against the doors before stepping back as you watched the TARDIS phase from view. She was doing what you had asked her to.
Now, as your vision blurred, you prayed that wherever she was, that she was keeping your star safe, just like she promised she would.
You began to feel yourself drift.
This was it.
You were on your last regeneration and there was nothing to be done.
You looked up at the bright blue sky above you and ignored the hurried footsteps that were quickly approaching.
Whatever they planned on doing, they really couldn’t do much worse.
Your thoughts were interrupted as a blonde woman came into view, you could faintly hear her yelling for you to keep breathing, just stay awake.
You wanted to, you really did, but it was so tempting to let yourself sink into the welcoming darkness.
Distantly, you felt yourself being lifted and carried somewhere.
You could hear a heartbeat, no, two.
But that meant, this was your star?
Why would she have come back after telling you to go?
You must be hallucinating. Yeah, that was it.
When you opened your eyes again, you saw a soft golden light pass by quickly and a loud humming.
Oh, it was the TARDIS.
Even in this state, you could sense her panic as you were very quickly set on a bed and told multiple things, none of which you processed.
Something was injected into your arm, and the voice became clearer.
It was your star…crying?
No, begging.
Maybe both.
“Please….just…hang on my love…please…I can’t be alone again… I'm so so sorry please i'll do anything for you, anything.” You felt her lift the crimson sheet of blood off you and begin tending to your wounds.
Your eyes hurt. A lot. As you struggled to open them in the blinding white lights of the room you were in.
A faint beeping sound was heard along with light breathing. You turned your head to see your star, there, sleeping haphazardly in some type of office chair.
You took this moment to study her appearance.
Her jacket was discarded across the room, and her suspenders hung by her sides. Her shirt was ruffled and untucked, and her pants were wrinkled.
Her face was covered in deep lines of emotion, even in sleep you could tell they’d been there for a long time.
You took in a deep breath as you tried to sit up, whimpering as you felt a sharp pain shoot through your abdomen.
Your star shot up from her chair immediately, almost falling on her face as she rushed to you.
“Oh, nonono. You have to stay my love. You need to heal.”
As she spoke you noticed the look she held, it was one of undying love, and of jagged fear.
She began frantically looking you over, making sure you were okay.
“Hey, hey..” You grabbed her hand as she ran it over your bandages, her head turned and you saw the exhaustion clear on her face.
“I’m fine." You offered her a small smile as proof. "My space girl.. always worrying.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“Can you blame me? I mean look at you, your-“
You shushed her.
“I’m alive? Yeah, I am.”
She looked to you and smiled.
You frowned, a sudden thought invading your mind.
“Have you slept?”
She seemed to contemplate this for a moment before shaking her head.
“Can we go to my room? Not to sound ungrateful, but this bed is doing nothing to help my back pain.”
She scoffed.
“You and your backpain.”
You swatted at her lightly.
“Hey! It’s not like I can do anything about that.” You frowned.
“Alright, fine. We can go to your room. I’m gonna carry you, okay?” She looked to you for approval.
You did your best salute, “Yes mamm.”
She shook her head with a smile before very carefully lifting you into her arms and heading out of the room.
You reached up and wrapped your arm around her neck, ignoring the searing pain this caused.
You watched her as she walked, her blonde hair caressing her face as she focused straight ahead, focused on getting you there as comfortably and safely as possible.
You let your eyes fall closed, as the rocking of her steps caressed you to sleep.
