My neighbor had a ton of stuff left after her husband passed. I went to visit her and noticed these in a bag by the door. I knew that meant she planned on throwing them away.

So I smiled at said "Thank you for giving us E's mezuzahs. If there's any other Judaica he had that you don't think anybody wants, we'd be happy to have them."

She immediately snatched them up out of the bag, excited, saying "I didn't think anybody would want this old stuff!"

I'm still kind of mad at her about it but hey, at least they got rescued. I have no idea what they're made of, unfortunately, but I'll test some gentle cleansers/polishes and see if that takes care of some of the spots. Any caregiving tips are welcome
