Rex, Thire, and Comet forming their own little group because they were all adopted by a member of a CC batch.
All 3 of the meet up when they can at the beginning of the war to catch up and talk about their postings.
Rex and Thire curling up around Comet when the Triumphant and the 104th are almost wiped out.
The meetings steadily getting scarcer and scarcer as the war goes on and the relationship of the GAR and the Guard gets strained.
All 3 still trying to message each other despite the rumors, until Thire stops responding (they dont know about the guard comm blackout)
Rex and Comet meeting up still and falling asleep with a space saved between them for their missing brother.

to me these 3 are a trio
i have this idea of clones adopted by different members of the same batch form their own little group
cause they all get what its like
to have that older sibling in that group
