Effort doesn't always equal quality. More keyframes doesn't always make for good animation. There are many qualities to account for when animating. Scale. Clean lines. Clear direction between cuts. Consistency in character model and style. Not shaking the camera all over the place like a "found footage" film. Planning. Having characters and actions with clear movement in focus of the panel. Avoiding too much noise on the screen. Rendering your cgi. I understand some of these qualities are purposefully askewed for certain styles, but that only makes competing styles in one episode that much more jarring. So to those of you who adore Fate Apocrypha's 22nd episode, that's totally fine. But finding the episode's animation messy or off-putting doesn't mean one doesn't understand animation. I can perfectly tell there were a lot of keyframes. The value of these keyframes to other sacrificed qualities, however, is objective.
