— You stood in your place as you watched Treech stand up on the stage, being the only mentor as he was the only victor. You stood in your brown dress overalls and his shirt, the shirt he had worn during his games. A token of good love he always said.
Just as the announcer placed her hand into the bowl, your heart beated faster, and faster, then suddenly stopped as she opened the paper. "Y/n L/n!" She announced. You couldn't comprehend with had happened, standing still as Treech's eyes widened, he searched for you, finding you frozen as he attempted to stop the tears in his eyes.
You walked along the passage, climbing up the stairs as Treech stared at you. He watched as you barely managed to wall correctly, tripping as he quickly caught you, holding you up as you stood waiting for the male tribute.
"Hey baby, it's okay, I won't let anyone hurt you, I promise." He whispered into your ear as you bit back tears. You remembered watching Treech in the games, the Snakes nearly killing him as they killed Lucy Gray and well, you were terrified as he climbed up the wall. You remembered him coughing, almost choking to death, you watched Lamina, your best friend die and Treech blaming himself for it.
You remembered what it was like watching him play the games two years ago, only now you'd go through it. You didn't know if you were as strong or as motivated as him. He placed his hand into yours and rubbed your shoulders as his breaths shallowed. As the male tribute was announced you felt wierry. His breath hitched as he looked at the tribute. You looked beside him to realize it was his best friend. Theo.
It was now clear as day, he had to choose between his lover and best friend, in a way he wished he never had to. You looked up to watch your family weep as his family looked in shock. Treech's mother stared at you, shaking her head as she stared at you then looked over at her son.
"I'm sorry baby." Treech cried as you both walked off towards the train, it was the end, you were going into the games that destroyed him two years ago.

–> Treech hugged his knees as he looked blankly onto the white walls of the train, on his bed. He felt guilty, knowing that you were suffering in a train that had more waste and illnesses then the streets of every district combined.
He refused to eat the food they had offered him, he knew he was starving and he was about to fall asleep, only to be reminded of banging and screams. His luck, his room had been beside the tribute's train.
He could hear everyone's cries, the one that stuck out to him was a certain girl screaming his name in her sleep, followed by the male tribute of the 2nd district comforting you. It boiled his skin, it made him want to rip off the doors and take you in right in front of him.
He heard a knock on the door, and he looked up to find the mentor of District 2. He bit his lip as she entered, he made room for her as she sat down on the bed, a plate of food in her hands.
"Hey, we all figured you might be hungry." She smiled as she placed the food, he shook his head, turning around to lay on his side. "I know it's hard, my sister is in the games."
"I'm sorry," Treech muttered, the girl sighed before standing up. Staring at the boy before shaking her head.
"It's okay, what happens in there, happens, I know. So uh, please eat, I don't think your little girlfriend wouldn't like you not eating." The mentor said as she walked out, leaving Treech alone with his thoughts, he heard whispers. He quickly stood up to follow the voice.
"Treech?" You whispered through the walls, he gasped as he heard your voice.
"Y/n?" He whispered back as you let out cries. He hushed you, placing his hand on the wall as he chuckled. "I'm just glad you're still alive."
"I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Mateo just fell asleep so I decided to try talking to you, guys it worked." You answered and he felt even more enraged. It was as if you read his mind as you answered his question. "Mateo is from District 2, he's helped me get comfortable here, I still have your vest."
"Good, try to get some sleep love, you'll need it," Treech muttered. You sighed before muttering a goodnight, Treech could hear Mateo call you over to him to 'keep you warm'. It enraged him more and more. He should be the one with you, not some random hooligan from District 2.
-> Treech quickly ran out of the train, awaiting for the peacekeepers to unlock the train as he stood outside waiting for you, calling your name. You heard him, walking towards him as he wrapped a hand around your waist, the other grasping at the underside of your breast, the side Mateo happened to stand at.
He watched as the peacekeepers ordered all the tributes to enter the van that was parked for them, a separate one for the mentors on the other side. He watched you take Mateo's hand as Theo turned to Treech and gave him a shrug.
The whole ride Treech had thought of one thing. Mateo holding you close to him, why would he be so close to you, why would you allow him? It seemed as if the other mentors read his mind as a few snickered as he clung onto the railing harder and harder with each thought. He snapped his head towards his fellow mentors, his face scrunching. "What?" He spat out as the other mentors raised their hands.
"Your girl will be safer in a van filled with our people than inside the arena, don't worry." District 11's mentor snickered. Treech crossed his arms, stuttering as he attempted to find the words.
"I, uh, shut up!" He groaned as he could hear the other mentors bicker and bully the boy. After a while, the bickering turned into him talking about you with so much love in his tone.
"And yeah she's the prettiest girl I've ever seen, but she's also kind and smart and funny and she's-." Treech was quickly cut off with the doors opening as he walked out, watching as the peacekeepers shoved you onto the floor, Treech walked over, helping you up as he gave a glare at the peacekeeper.
"Thanks." You muttered before hugging the boy. You placed a kiss on his cheek, holding his arm as you walked over to the building filled with rooms. Each mentor owned his own room as the tributes shared one tiny bathroom that all 24 of you had to share, no beds provided, not even a rug, just a plain wooden cold floor whose planks were rotten with insects and pus.
Treech's heart ached as he stared at your living conditions. He would admit, he would prefer this old room instead of the zoo but it hurt him deep inside knowing that his princess would sleep on the cold floor all alone while he had the privilege of a bed.
He instantly grabbed your hand, walking you to his room as the mentors snickered. A few tributes turned to their friends and Treech couldn't help but smirk as he heard Mateo ask about the two of you.
He opened his door, pinning you against it on the other side as kissed your lips. He was touch-starved, kissing you as if it was the last moment you two had together, which might be. He needed you to know how much he loved you. "Treech, are you okay?" You asked the mentor who stopped to look at you. At this exact moment, it had all sunk in. He might never see you again, this could be your last week alive with him. He couldn't stop his tears from welling into his eyes as he sat down on the bed.
You quickly sat beside the boy. You placed your hand onto the boy's cold one, looking at him. He felt greedy. He had spent so much time thinking about how you were with someone else and not how you felt about the games, remembering the moment he was picked.
"Hey, I'm coming back to you, I promise." You whispered as he cried into your shoulder, unable to spill another word. You couldn't help yourself but join in, allowing him to wrap his arms around you as you felt his warm embrace, knowing this might be the last.

-> Treech helplessly sat down in the infirmary, his gaze glued to his hands as he watched the shaky hands no longer covered with the gruesome coat of red that once filled his hands. Yet, no matter how hard he scrubbed he couldn't clean the guilt.
You stood by his side as the nurse left. A few cuts and bruises. He needs to stay monitored for a few days since the snake venom affected his system.
"It's not your fault." You mumbled as the boy looked at you then turned back to his hands, his ripped hat at the foot of the bed. He turned to face it, holding it as he analyzed the rips. One across the hem and one through the top.
"My hat." Treech cried as you cradled his side, salty tears slipped through as he held the hat. Usually, you wouldn't understand how someone would cry over an object like this yet the hat was a gift from Lamina, the moment she died part of him did too.
"I'll fix it." You smiled as you took it, opening the drawer to find a needle and gray thread. You sewed it together as Treech stared at his hands once more, you placed the hat gently on the table before holding his hands.
He looked at you as he cried. You shook your head, wiping his tears before placing your hand on his cheek. "You're not a monster or a murderer. You're a victim just like them." You whispered.
You wanted to tell him how you actually felt. How you felt as if they had gotten out the easy way, how they wouldn't have to live with the guilt like him and it made you sick to your stomach.
"Teslee, I. She didn't. I." He broke down as you hugged him. You knew what he was refering to. When he had entered the
"Teslee didn't hesitate like you." You whispered. He turned to face you, shaking his head.
"We didn't want to hurt each other." Treech sobbed as you held him closer, playing with his fingers. "We uhm. Reaper apologised to us before the games and Wovey made us bracelets, the peacekeepers took them before we could wear them though. Lucy sang us songs and we all wanted to go home."
"I know Treech." You frowned as he hid himself into your chest. "Well, you're here now, with me."
"I'm a murderer, y/n, I'm a killer." Treech muttered as you shook your head, wiping his tears.
"No your not, not to me." You mumbled. You watched as he leaned in, hesitant to kiss you as you smiled.
You leaned in, placing your soft lips onto his cold ones, yet the moment you did they warmed up. He held your hand as you moved to sit on the bed, his hand, his hard hand that held your soft one, sliding to your waist as his other grabbed your hair.
You pulled back, yet he pulled you in for another kiss as you placed your hand onto his cheek. After what felt of an eternity of love, he pulled back to breath.
"Thank you, for saving me."
"No Treech, thank you, for saving me."
I’m literally so in love with Treech and your story was amazing! Is it possible to request an enemies to lovers with Treech? Set in district 7 please? I love him and district 7 so much

-> You sat down in class, waiting for your test results back. You could see Treech, waiting along with his friends aswell as he stared daggers into You. It wasn't your fault that you were smarter than him. You watched as your teacher walked over, handing you your paper.
100%
You turned over to find him recieving his paper. You caught a glimpse at the percentage, smirking to yourself as you raised you paper towards him, watching him explode.
99%
To bad, so sad. He only needed half a mark to beat you. If only he knew that you were doing it so your parents wouldn't skin you alive. You placed the paper into your bag as you stood up, walking down the hall as you watched him walk with Lamina, examining his paper excessively, wanting one tiny error to out do you once and for all.
"Just give up, there's no point." You smirked as you leaned onto the locker beside the boy. He glared at you before returning to his papers as Lamina stood quietly. "That's incorrect."
"Yeah! I got that figured out! Thanks!" He sneered at you. You laughed before walking off, skipping to your next class as you heard his curse at you. A smile on your face.
You were a tease, you knew. It started when you had become friends as children. Then he began to work so you drifted apart, yet you always outbested him, and that once love you two faced turned into tolerance, then into hate.
You sat down in class, watching him talk to Ms. Mason, trying to change his grade but he had failed. He looked through the window, finding you smirking only for him to groan and clench his fists.
For the rest of science, you doodled in your papers and thought about what you'd do today. You remembered Derek, who you've been secretly seeing wanted to see you at the end of the day, yet you worry.
You knew he rather had a reputation of ruining girls chances. Yet when he asked you out, you were a dumbass and agreed.
So when he, once again, played with another girls feelings, this time it being yours, you broke down.
You sat down on your steps, crying your eyes out as you held the letter in your hands. You also noticed a figure loom over you, confused and unknowing if what to do.
"Uhm. Is everything okay?" Treech whispered as he placed his hands in his pockets. You were taken a back as you looked up. Treech was early just done with his shift as his axe was in his hand and his helmat in his hand. His face was red and his clothes, oh his clothes were covered in sweat.
"What the fuck?" You mumbled as he chuckled, he set himself down beside you, eyeing the letter in your hands.
"Uh, what's that?" Treech asked you as you handed him the letter. You didn't understand why exactly you trusted him. Why you wanted him to know.
Maybe it was your younger self, the version of you who when every bad or good thing happened, your first instict was to tell him.
You watched as by each time he read a sentence, he gre angrier and angrier.
To angry that he cut the letter before evening finishing the ending.
"Derek fucking wrote you that?" He sneered as he looked at you, he threw the letter as he stood up, opening your door before helping you up. He set you down on the couch as he made you tea.
"Here you go." He whispered as he handed you the tea, he pushed your hair back your ear as he smiled at you. Yet, you were confused. Rather three hour ago, he was filled with hate, now, he had nothing but worry and care in his eyes.
"I don't get it, I thought you hated me." You said as he had grabbed a cold cloth, placing it on your face to calm you down.
"I could never hate you." He whispered as he shook his head. "I never did. I just, I wanted to be as smart as you."
"I wanted to be as smart as you." You laughed as he chuckled. He set down the cloth, looking into you as you smiled. "Thanks. For uhm, making me feel better."
"I didn't do anything."
"You stayed."
-> The next day you went to school, only for you to witness Treech attack Derek during lunch and well, you were baffled to say the least.
You watched as Treech dogged a punch, giving Derek an uppercut before kneeling his stomach, I guess he's really mad at Derek huh?
Soon after, as always, Ms Mason ruined everything by breaking up the fight and sending both Treech and Derek to the office.
Now that's where you were, sitting outside waiting to be called in. You were anxious, you didn't know if Treech had ratted you out and put the blame or Derek had.
Yet when you were called in, you heard Treech's protests to include you. "Hey! She had nothing to do with this!" Treech yelled as the headmaster gave you a look to sit down.
"Did you, or did you not ask Treech to fight Derek in your honor?" The headmaster asked as you looked at Treech, your eyes widening.
"Respectfully." Treech started. "Derek's full of shit sir."
You bit a laugh as Derek turned to face the boy, a glare given, a glare that would make most people turn on their heels and run away. Yet, Treech stood proud of what he said.
"Okay listen, I don't know what happened but I didn't know Treech would actually fight Derek!" You said as the headmaster glanced at you.
"So you asked him to?" He asked as Treech scoffed.
"No she didn't, don't give her the credit. I decided the moment I read what that son of a-." Treech started as you gasped, hitting his knee as he stared at you. "When I read what he write to her."
"Oh my god." You muttered as you pinched the bridge of your nose. Derek stared daggers at you, his eyes widened as he realised how much worse the situation was.
"Of course the whore goes around sharing private letters." Derek muttered as Treech stood up, you pushed him down as the head dismissed you.
You could hear yelling as you left and you couldn't wait till the end of the day to meet up with Treech and to no ones surprise, he had recieved a suspension, meaning he would have to work full time for the week as well.
So you woke up at 4 to get ready. A lumberjacks shift started at 5 and well, you had to thank Treech somehow.
You baked cinnamon cookies, a pastry his mother made before she succumbed to the illness that spread around the district five years ago.
As you arrived to his house, you knocked. You could hear a groan and footsteps, someone clearly was upset, due to the fact that someone decided to knock at 4 in the morning.
Yet, the when he opened the door to see you, his clearly irritated face softened as he looked at you in confusion.
"I wanted to thank you. For defending my honor." You said as he moved to the side to invite you in. You places the cookies on the table as he quickly opened the box to see what it was, a tear escaping his eye as he took one.
"Just like how my ma used to make them." He whispered as you nodded. "I uh, thank you."
"It's no biggie, I uhm, have a nice shift Treech." You smiled as you turned to leave, he grabbed your arm, spinning you around as he embraced you. "Treech?"
"Don't ruin the moment darling." He whispered as he stared at you, slowly leaning in as you stood on your toes to allow him in faster.
His lips collided with yours as you placed your hands around his neck, his hands snaking to your waist as he pulled you in closer.
The kiss, it was sweet which no one had ever expected, in fact, you were convinced it would be harsh and cold, yet it was filled with love.
You pulled away, panting as he smiled, placing his head into the crook of your neck. "I'm still smarter than you."
"Shut the fuck up Treech."

The District was cold as you passed by the beggars. District twelve was always rather unfortunate, being fed scraps by the other districts, coal miners, that was all you were.
Not you though, you were a preformed, a covey you liked to be called. Well, you did until your sister was taken from you by the hunger games.
Lucy gray was everything to you, she was the reason you woke up every morning, she was the one to take care of you, she loved you and supported you.
To many eyes, she was weird, an obnoxious singer. To you, she was everything. She took you in from the streets without question, she raised you, cared for you when your own kind left you.
And to your surprise, when she was picked, you wanted it to be you instead. You even tried to volunteer but Lucy wouldn't let you.
She was so close, if it hadn't been for the lumberjack. Many call him a Victor, the first victor of the seventh District, but to your eyes. He was the reason Lucy wasn't here with you right now.
Deep down, you knew he wasn't to blame, but forgiving him felt like a betrayal to your sister. You couldn't do that to her. So here you sat, in a bar as you watched your family perform.
You knew you were up soon, but the thought of singing without your sister hurt you.
So here you sat, vodka in your hand, perks of working in the bar. You smiled at the bartender as he handed you another one. “Tough day ain't it birdy?”
“Call me that again and I'm shoving this bottle up your ass.” You threatened as you held the Vodka bottle in your hands as he smirked. Troy Abernathy was your best friend, he’ll always be your best friend, or favorite drinking buddy as he certainly knew how to put it away.
“You always were feisty, I believe it's your time to fly.” He said before walking off, you turned around to find your cousin, Maude Ivory, she sat down beside you, laying her head onto her propped up elbow.
“Don't.” You whispered as Maude sighed, taking a glass of water and taking a sip before turning back to you.
“You already know what she'd say. You didn't survive for this.” Maude mumbled as you sighed, drinking from the bottle. You knew they all suffered from the loss, but it hit you the hardest.
You two had a special sisterly bond that no one could even imagine. When you two were apart, it was like a fish out of water. You couldn't breathe when she was gone and she couldn't think without you.
Your luck ran out when you were picked right after her games. Even if you wanted to go back to her, you couldn't leave the rest after Lucy. You knew that if you too had left, Maude would be the one drinking instead of you. So if the consequences of Maude living a happy life were you drinking your sorrows away, it was worth it.
“I'll sing next night.” You muttered as she shook her head.
Next night.
I'll do it next night.
Maybe tomorrow.
I'm too ill, maybe next night.
The same excuses, all over, and over, and over again. Maude sighed before walking off to the stage. You smiled as you watched her preform instead of you. It was nice seeing your little sister sing.
That was until the peacekeepers barged in and dragged you to the stations where you were shoved into an empty capitol train.
