I really appreciate some of the more "unexpected" uses of music in this game. Like the mines' music plays after the final fights in some endings. It did seem odd at first but ended up feeling very emotional. It made me view that track with a whole new perspective. Honestly, I initially thought this was a weaker aspect of this game, the way the music is used so flexibly, but I've grown quite fond of it.

My absolute favorite one has to be the main theme though. It's seriously one of the coolest moments in the game. It just fits so well, and there is amazing thrill in hearing something you thought you'd only hear in the main menu. First Campaign also became special to me after playing through Golden. I love how it's the first battle theme that plays, and it's the last thing you hear before credits. I guess there is something romantic in that. Imagine marrying your wife to the music that played while you were whacking bandits beside her.

Some notes:

Ignore the fact that Morality ending Roland isn't here despite the quote fitting him actually really well. Frankly I just couldn't think of any way to illustrate it's Morality ending in this format. Maybe it would have been funny if I made him hold a fishing rod instead of a spear.

Mid-game Roland is supposed to represent any time frame while he's wearing Maxwell's mask, but halfway through this piece I started associating the night background with a specific scene in ch11, one where he laments to Serenoa about the uselessness of his status as royalty. Thought that was a neat headcanon(?) of sorts.

Normally my handwriting isn't nearly that good lol. I spent way too much time trying to tame it for this.

A comic that begins with a wide shot of the Wolffort encampment. It reads "So this is the Wolffort encampment." Beneath it is an image of Avlora looking vaguely uncomfortable with the text boxes that read "It's been months since I went into hiding. It's nice to be among allies once more, but it is somewhat..."
A set of comic panels showing Roland and Hughette (labeled "might kill you if given the chance"), Groma and Flanagan (labeled "old co-workers from your lousy job who had the sense to jump ship before you"), and Cordelia and Piccoletta (which is labeled "Has she forgiven you? CAN she forgive you, after what you've done?" and has a lot more text that quickly fades. The next panel has Avlora looking even more uncomfortable with a text box that reads "...awkward."
A panel of Maxwell standing by a window that reads, "But no matter. He looks to be a stranger." Then a panel of a wider shot with a table near Maxwell that reads, "And there, an empty table."
Avlora standing at the table, thinking, "I'll simply stand here for a moment and take stock of the situati..." before she's visibly distracted by something in Maxwell's direction.
Avlora and Maxwell stare at each other. Avlora's thoughts read, "Wait. Something seems familiar about him. I think it's the cape. Isn't that the one given to high-ranking Glenbrook officials? I believe the Dawnspear wears one that looks just like... Just like..."

I just think they'd be really really funny about it
