i feel like ronal as your mother would be a very complex relationship, we saw the way she treated kiri (I think it was her!) for example, she didn’t even like the fact that kiri had five fingers. it would take a lot of time and realizing things for her to warm up to you - as a human

at first she resented you in a way, only keeping you around for tsireyas happiness. seeing you as a human, she only thought of the terror that was brought forth by the sky people to her clan.

“mom she’s only little!” tsireya would say with sadness enveloping her expression. she loves you so much and does not want anyone seeing a monster in you, especially her mother.

it took ronal a lot of time and thinking to realize that you weren’t like the others, not indoctrinated into the RDA’s beliefs, and certainly not a monster.

she was watching tsireya guide you into the water, the fast current making nerves tingle at your spine. “it’s okay y/n! i am here, do not worry.” tsireya exclaimed, reaching out for your hand to keep you afloat.

ronal spectated as you learned the way of water, attacking the task of swimming in the island waters. she felt nervous. how and why did she feel that way? you were just a sky person, not made to live on pandora, meant to be on earth away from her life.

anxiety, nervousness, the feelings creeping up into her mind, making their way to her chest. the way it fluttered watching you struggle to keep afloat. she was worried, worried for your safety. a mothers worry she felt, like a storm tossed sea, churning in its severity.

ronal hated to be proved wrong. but after her heart getting the best of her, she began to saw you as one of her own. a lonely child lost in the world, not with her own kind.

instead of showing how she felt right away, it was slowly introduced to you as time moved on. her cutting extra fruit for your dinner, making sure you weren’t cold at night, and giving you reassurance if you felt behind on tasks.

tsireya started noticing this as well, small smiles making its way to her lips. glad her mom was starting to see you for who you were, and not the monster that was made out to be.

ronal started making clothing for you, and she also taught you how to make your own using the materials found on the island.

you sat and watched as ronal had her attention focused on aonung and tsireya, giving them the motherly affection you had always craved. yes, you had grown on her, but not to the capacity to receive a hug, or words of affirmation.

ronal noticed the frown on your face, which made her worry. she walked over to check in on you, concerned with your sadness.

“is everything alright?” ronal asked

you tried to find words to voice what has been eating at you for so long. “i- i just, want a hug” the tears began to stream down your face, emotions you’ve held inside for so long finally unraveling.

that was the final step for ronal to treat you like her own daughter, seeing you as the innocent child you were. she didn’t realize how damaging her reluctance was towards you, the waiting game she was playing dragging out for too long.

she immediately held you in her arms, giving you what you’ve longed for. a mothers love, enveloping you in her warmth, safety. a feeling you couldn’t describe, the familial bond sealing forever.

after ronal realized her mistakes, she didn’t even focus on the fact both of you weren’t biologically related anymore.

she would always fiercely protect you as a mother, and as tsahik. her nobility making the na’vi that disagree with her choices not bother to object.

in the end, you became a recognized member of her family, a sibling to aonung and tsireya, a child of tonowari and ronal.

bonus!

- for your birthday, ronal made you a forest green shawl, something that you would cherish forever

- being a human, you got sick more often compared to the na’vi you lived with. ronal was always prepared with her best herbs and medicinal rituals

- ronal added a bead just for you on her songcord, a song that describes when the both of you met, and how she is now your mother.

- she is just the best mom ever, always defending you if something wrong is said. she raises you to be strong, and teaches you how to defend yourself.

Absolutely Love The Older Sister X Tseriya !

Absolutely Love The Older Sister X Tseriya !

Tsireya swam through the wreckage of the RDA’s latest assault, the one that took Neteyam’s life. Her heart was heavy with sorrow at the destruction that had been wrought, and with grief, a death that shouldn’t have happened. She knew both her fellow na’vi and the creatures of the sea had suffered a great deal. As she swam, she heard a faint sound– a muffled sobbing, coming from somewhere deep within the wreckage.

Intrigued, Tsireya followed the sound with quick, agile movements. Dodging the wreckage until she came across a small air pocket, just large enough for one person. There, huddled in the corner, was a young girl - human by the looks of her.

Tsireya’s first instinct was to recoil in fear. She had heard stories of the sky people, of their machines and weapons, and she knew that they were not to be trusted. But as she looked into the girl's tear-streaked face, she felt a surge of empathy and compassion.

A pang of sympathy made itself evident in her chest– for the girl's predicament. She could imagine what it must have been like to be caught in the middle of such a violent conflict, with no way to escape.

Your small body seemed to shrink at the sight of her, scared for life. You had never seen a na’vi this up close before, and with your parents being a part of the RDA, you were taught false, inaccurate information about them.

“Hey, it's okay,” Tsireya whispered. “I’ll get you out of here.”

You were too fearful and in shock to say anything.

She grabbed your hand, and together, the both of you swam through the wreckage, Reya keeping you by her side. When finally emerging into the open ocean, Tsireya whistled a high-pitched call, and within moments, her ikran appeared. Its sleek, powerful body slicing through the water with ease.

Tsireya helped you onto the creature's back, settling you in front of her with a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Hold on tight,” she said, her voice calm and reassuring.

After arriving on the mainland, Tsireya sat you down on the shore, quickly checking for any possible injuries.

She sat beside you, resting a hand gently on your shoulder. “Are you okay?” she asked softly.

You looked up at her, eyes red and puffy from crying. “I don’t know,” you said. Voice barely above a whisper. “My parents are gone, I thought they could protect me.”

She felt a pang of sympathy for your loss, she knew all too well what it was like to lose someone in this war, to feel the weight of grief and anger press down on her soul.

“I’m so sorry,” she said, her voice gentle. “It’s not fair. None of this is fair.”

You nodded, tears falling freely now. Tsireya wrapped her arm around you, holding you close. “You’re not alone,” she said. “I’m here for you. We’ll get through this together.” and with those words, she held you tight, determined to be a source of comfort and support in the midst of so much pain and suffering.

headcanons!

tsireya had to do some CONVINCING to let you in her family. her mom had a strong distrust for sky people, but tonowari became your saving grace and finally accepted, but only because you were so young.

you grew on her family very quickly, ronal realized you were just a small child, no hatred or bias towards her people stuck with you.

tsireya is constantly worried about your safety and you overexerting yourself. she can’t imagine what it’s like to be a human living on pandora, and how it is to navigate in the way you do.

she teaches you the way of water, and how to care for the creatures of the sea.

^ this poor girl is so worried at first, not wanting you to go off on your own in the ocean. she practically goes into mom mode and forces you to stay attached to her hip.

since you don’t have a queue, she is always taking you on rides with her ilu, showing you the beauty of the ocean and island.

aonung teases you sometimes, being the guy that he is. tsireya will always defend you and pester him to stop.

she does her best to act as a rolemodel for you, instilling kindness in the way you act. tsireya doesn’t want your tragedy to lead you down a dark path, and she will do anything to prevent that from happening.

she loves spending time with you!!! one of her favorite activities to do with you is beadwork. whether that be necklaces, bracelets, armbands, etc.

both of you go looking for seashells often, planning your next piece of jewelry to create.

tsireya is very patient with you, knowing that you are young and impressionable. she will take all the time you need to explain concepts and answer your questions about her way of life.

she knows that you are missing out on the affection from your parents, so she always takes time to hug you, and send encouraging words your way.

being close to tsireya also means that lo’ak will be present too. he is so kind to you, and he acts as an older brother as well. he’s always showing off the cool flips and tricks he can do in the water to make you smile.
