thought of this because while The Narrator is considered and or the most part is the antagonist or villain of The Stanley Parable (in endings like countdown), he is more than just The Narrator. Yes he does have power over Stanley and he is a very flawed character, there are times in the game where we see him just simply wanting to exist and be equal to with Stanley.
and Stanley has been thought of as an innocent guy when he isn’t. He is not a helpless individual, there are many endings where Stanley is doing things that an actually innocent helpless character would simply not do. Stanley has his own will going against The Narrator.
in short, The Narrator and Stanley’s characters are far more than evil narrator and innocent protagonist.
