Their ancestors (and possibly a few other cybertronian critters) were brought to Calamathos by the titans millions of years ago, most likely to be kept as pets.

Since the landing of the titans, the turbofoxes have adapted to the hot, dry planet, shrinking down in size, minus their enormous ears, and becoming small, lightweight and quick-footed counterparts to their larger cybertronian ancestors.

Amplunaris’ city has a decent population of domestic turbofoxes. These pampered pets can be trained for a variety of different tasks, and can come in a small variety of unique colors and ‘fur’ textures. The more fancy turbofoxes are kept by the rich, as they can afford the resources needed to keep their unique pets healthy.

There is a small feral population of turbofoxes in Magnoheli’s ruins. Unlike the domestic population, this group do not have a variety of color, sticking to more natural sandy shades, and have kept a more wild personality. They are very shy and skittish creatures, and have gotten very good at hiding.

Jazz’s wheels weren’t made for off-roading, but they got him to the edge of the Crystal Forest at least. Prowl darted out, tail swaying to stand on the path as Jazz transformed.

“Ya gotta take it from here, Prowl.  Ah don’ know where we’re goin’.”

Prowl yipped at him and leaned up against his leg.  He was getting better at this in his rootmode, but casual affection was still easier in his alt.  Jazz reached down and stroked over his ruff and plating.

“Ready?”

Not Really and Absolutely at the same time.  How could such contrasting emotions exist in one bot at the same time?

“The truth of it is that Shade’s foster family was not an idea situation –“

“They were slaggers and we pulled her yesterday.”

The minibot at the desk offlined his optics and took a deep vent.

“Yes, thank you for expanding on that Turbine.”

“Glad to help!”  Prowl wasn’t sure if that smile was genuine or mocking.  Rotary didn’t seem to mind though.

“So, you see,” he continued on, “we were tasked with finding her temporary placement until her new foster can be thoroughly vetted by our team.  Thoroughly.”  There was something in his tone now…”I was informed by my superiors that you two would be good candidates to take her for the next few days.  Temporarily, until we found a more permanent placement.”
