the point of the ceasefire is to lull america back into complacency. let’s not fall for it
in light of a four day ceasefire in Gaza being agreed upon, i am once again asking you all not to lose sight of the big picture. Biden and the Israeli Government are trying to frame this as a major democratic victory and as a favor respectively. they have no intention of a total ceasefire. they have no intention of stopping their genocide. remember - a ceasefire is the very first step. it’s not even the bare minimum.
the absolute bare minimum in this situation is 1) a complete ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid in Gaza, 2) complete halt of all military foreign aid to the Israeli government, 3) the Israeli government being prosecuted for its war crimes in the International Criminal Court, and 4) land back and reparations for the Palestinian people. free Palestine means free Palestine, not just temporarily stop carpet bombing Palestine.
a temporary ceasefire is something, but it’s not even close to the end goal. we cannot let up pressure when things seem to be looking up. keep protesting, boycotting, spreading awareness, contacting politicians, etcetera. keep your eyes on Gaza. free Palestine.

For showing her support against genocide she was FIRED from Scream 7. An article states it’s because she was leaning into antisemitism by an Instagram story she posted in which she said the media is not showing both sides of Palestine and Israel. Personally I feel it’s a way for producers or the studio, whatever, to tip toe around the fact that Jenna Ortega also voiced her support for Palestine and they don’t want to fire her to continue to bring in her audience.
To say that she denounces genocide and the murders of innocent people, she was fired from a franchise that she was their lead for the last two films raking in Millions. Sick af. If Scream 7 goes forward, I’m not watching it. I don’t care how stacked the cast is or even if Neve Campbell returns. It’s over for them.
They’ve killed the franchise for me. I’m good.
Don’t come in this post talking out the side of your neck about Palestine & the genocide. I’m pro Palestine and that’s all that needs to be said today.

keep in mind: make sure to know if your representatives are pro ceasefire already! they have a disclaimer on it on the site, but a google search won’t hurt!
they give you a script and everything to follow, my state is already pro-ceasefire but i’m planning to use it for any previous states i’ve lived in that aren’t pro-ceasefire yet, i recommend you do the same if possible!
just in general CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES! what i’ve heard is that they’re having to literally UNPLUG their phones because they won’t stop ringing. keep being persistent, it’s working! just a quick google search is super easy, i’ll let you guys know if i find any scripts or other resources. it’s really easy to be lazy about this, like i’ll admit i have been, but five minutes out of your day isn’t that hard.

my new resolution is that every time my family buys mcdonalds, coca cola, starbucks etc i’ll make a small donation to a Palestinian fundraiser. i can’t donate too much at a time because i need to save up but something’s better than nothing. maybe consider doing the same if possible!

Palestinian liberation calls for a 1 state solution under which all people are equal under both under the law and in practice.
In order to have peace the genocide, apartheid, and occupation must end. Settler colonialism must end. Second class citizenry must end. All Palestinians imprisoned must be released. Reparations must be made to Palestinians who have been affected by both current events and historical, from the Nakba in 1948 to today. Everyone who participated in the facilitation of the apartheid, and the violence of the apartheid and occupation required to maintain the oppressive regime, must be held accountable. Palestinians must be granted the right to return to their homes.
The idea that Palestinian liberation = carrying out a genocide on Israelis is nothing more than baseless, racist, orientalist fearmongering (and, to an extent, pure projection) that serves to justify the current genocidal regime and the apartheid having been maintained for decades. One people's freedom does not threaten another people. People are fearmongering over a hypothetical scenario (the same fearmongering used in South Africa; both during the reconstruction era following the abolition of slavery & also against abolitionists while slavery was still legal in the United States; in regards to the North American indigenous population; and so on) while an actual genocide is going on.
the only way to real actual peace, safety, and security is through the complete liberation of the Palestinian people, not the continued maintenance of the current regime or the apartheid that led to this current moment in time. apartheid is inherently violent; oppression is inherently violent. colonialism is inherently violent. if YOUR 'safety' is dependent on the oppression, displacement, and murder of OTHER PEOPLE then your conditions are not and will never be safe.

The "truce" had ended as of 20 minutes ago. This means the Israeli warplanes are already back to bombing all parts of Gaza and god knows what the next few days will look like
Just a reminder though that Israel never abided by the "ceasefire", and had in fact been shooting at Palestinians who were trying to make their way back to their homes in northern Gaza
no matter how horrible things get, how conditions in Gaza/palestine worsen, NEVER give into helplessness. NEVER fall into the idea that there is nothing you can do. even spreading awareness makes a difference as zxonists actively try to silence anyone who speaks out
Not that Israel ever stopped but Israeli officials have announced that their focus now is on the city of Khan Younis which is in southern Gaza, the exact area Israel and their fanbase were adamant that Gazans should "relocate to" for safety.
700 people have been killed by Israeli shelling in the past 24 hours.
This is another reminder that Israel will make up lies as they go about their evil agenda and if you're dumb enough to believe any of them, you have made yourself complicit in enabling this genocide.

something i’ve been doing is downloading all these images. an important thing to do is archive these things because of the government social media crackdowns!
i will say a lot of internet activism is just “look at this and be sad”/performative activism with no actual resources to help, but this information is useful because we can use it to combat misinformation. (this isn’t to say that sharing this alone isn’t helpful! obviously sharing despite the crackdowns is good etc)

Don’t stay quiet about this!!! This law will likely result in innocents killed, due to the unjust legal system Palestinians already face. There are a strange amount of Palestinian children being held in these jails as well..
i feel like while it's important to mention that donations are not reaching gazans right now, and people should keep speaking up and amplifying their voices
it's also important to remember there are palestinians in the other occupied territories, jerusalem and the West Bank, who are being harassed, displaced, arrested, tortured, and murdered, and could still benefit from support and donations if you have any to spare and you should do your research on that
